Huge Congratulations to Margaux & Alex!

Margaux & Alex's wedding was such a lovely, relaxed day from beginning to end.

They tied the knot in a beautiful little village church in the Somerset countryside before celebrating with family and friends overlooking the rolling hills around Bagley.

It turned out to be one of the hottest days of the summer, with glorious sunshine all day long. Thankfully, the gardens and orchard offered plenty of shade, and we took a wander through the orchard for some relaxed portraits while making the most of the golden light and those amazing Somerset views.

One of my favourite parts of the day was seeing Margaux's family make the trip over from France to celebrate with them. Having everyone together from different countries made the whole day feel even more special.

Instead of a traditional wedding breakfast, everyone enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea with homemade cakes, sandwiches and endless cups of tea, which suited the laid-back vibe of the day perfectly. Guests spent the afternoon catching up in the sunshine and simply enjoying being together.

Margaux & Alex planned a wedding that felt completely true to them – relaxed, elegant and all about spending time with the people they love most. It was an absolute pleasure to capture it all.

Thank you both for having me along to be part of such a wonderful day. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together! ❤️

While spending the weekend in Essex visiting the Hudsons, I had the pleasure of photographing Sophie and Shaun's engagement session at the beautiful Thorndon Country Park.

The park was the perfect setting for a relaxed afternoon together. We wandered through the woodland, enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and captured plenty of natural, joyful moments while chatting about their plans for the big day.

Sophie and Shaun are such a lovely couple, and it was a real pleasure getting to know them. Hearing all about their Lord of the Rings-themed wedding made me even more excited for them. With the beautiful trees, winding woodland paths and lush greenery, it really did feel as though we'd found a little corner of the Shire for their engagement session.

Thank you both for such a wonderful afternoon. I loved spending time with you and hearing all about your plans. Wishing you both the most incredible wedding day - I know it's going to be every bit as magical as you've imagined.

Congratulations Alexis & Gavin!

Huge congratulations to Alexis & Gavin on their beautiful wedding day!

Their ceremony took place at the stunning Highcliffe Castle, a truly spectacular setting overlooking the coast. After exchanging vows, everyone made their way to The Cliff House in Barton-on-Sea for a fantastic reception, where friends and family celebrated late into the evening.

We were incredibly lucky with the weather too. Bright sunshine and blue skies provided the perfect backdrop for some stunning photographs and made the most of the beautiful coastal views.

The ceremony was made even more special by the beautiful vocals of Talisa (Talisa Vocalist), creating the perfect atmosphere as Alexis & Gavin said "I do." As the celebrations moved to The Cliff House, Ray Foster had everyone on the dance floor and really got the party started with an incredible evening of entertainment.

It was also a pleasure to work alongside the Justin from Captured by Justin and Rachel from Ever Lace Media, whose creativity and professionalism helped make the day run so smoothly. The venue looked absolutely stunning, with beautiful floral arrangements by Peony Blue adding the perfect finishing touch.

Thank you, Alexis & Gavin, for allowing us to be part of such a special day. We wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness together!

Huge Congratulations to Nix and Al!

When planning their engagement shoot, Nix told me she loved the idea of being surrounded by huge trees and shared some inspiration images from the redwoods in California. While I could not quite offer California, I knew the perfect place to suggest. Rhinefield Ornamental Drive in the New Forest has some incredible giant redwoods and always feels a little bit magical.

We spent the evening wandering through the woodland, climbing over fallen logs, exploring quiet corners of the forest, and chasing the last bits of sunlight as it filtered through the trees. Nix and Al were brilliant to photograph, completely up for getting stuck into the surroundings and making the most of the location.

Both of them turned up in Barbour jackets, which felt very fitting for the setting and added to the timeless, outdoorsy feel of the images.

At the start of the shoot, I nearly fell into a stream while trying to get a low angle for a shot, which set the tone for a slightly adventurous afternoon, to say the least. Thankfully both camera and photographer survived.

These are the kinds of engagement sessions I love most, relaxed, outdoors, and focused on natural moments rather than anything overly posed. Just two people, a beautiful location, and the space to explore it together.

One of the highlights of my birthday was a surprise dinner at The Pig Hotel. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a special treat.

Before dinner, we wandered through the Kitchen Garden, exploring the beds overflowing with herbs, vegetables, and flowers. It's always fascinating to see where so much of the restaurant's produce begins its journey.

We then enjoyed a drink on the lawn overlooking the sea as the sun began to set. Watching the sky change colour over the coastline was a beautiful start to the evening.

The dinner itself was exceptional. Every course was beautifully prepared, showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients and making the occasion feel even more memorable.

The visit was also wonderfully nostalgic. Years ago, we stayed at The Pig near Bath for our wedding, so spending part of my birthday at another Pig property brought back many happy memories from that special time in our lives.

As the evening ended, we watched the sunset together, rounding off a perfect celebration with stunning views, great food, and time well spent.

With delicious food, a glowing sky, and a touch of nostalgia, it was a birthday I’ll remember for a long time.

We spent a lovely afternoon enjoying a family picnic in a Dorset meadow, surrounded by long grass, wildflowers, and beautiful countryside views.

After finding the perfect spot, we spread out our blanket and enjoyed lunch together, with plenty of conversation and laughter. The peaceful setting made it easy to relax and appreciate the simple pleasure of being outdoors.

Afterwards, we wandered through the meadow, taking in the colours of the wildflowers and the beauty of the landscape.

It was a simple day, but one filled with special moments and family memories.
