This last half term saw longer days with blue skies and beautiful tulips. We went along to Spilman Farm's first ever tulip display and we're treated a variety of tulips. It was difficult to choose a favourite type so I just took photos of them all. Here are a few...
It was so lovely to get creative and capture these photos again. It has been a while.

Yesterday I went to a little tulip field down the road from where I live. I just loved being there. A beautiful venue and awesome company!
Birchfield Ice Cream Farm has added visiting the tulip fields in the Neatherlands to my bucket list! Take a look at these picture and let me know if they make you want to visit tulip fields!

This week brought a little bit of magic! Snow! There is something special about snow. It lifts my mood and the excitement and playfulness is people is tangible.
I then went to do our local ParkRun on Saturday! What a beautiful setting! I couldn't resist these pictures.

A little trip to Devon to see good friends from South Africa.
Seeing them and this view makes my heart happy and full.
On our way back we even spotted a fox.

The sunset last night. Yay for later sunsets and earlier sunrises.

Last night my son asked if we could go for a drive. When we asked where he wanted to go, he just said, 'For a drive.' My husband and I agreed thinking it would be wonderful because he would hopefully fall asleep in the car (insert laugh, giggle and snort here). We drove around and then landed up going to Studley Royal Deer Park. 🦌 I have been there before and there were no deer to be seen, anywhere.
Well, within two minutes of arriving we spotted the does (doe a deer a female deer...) and the fawns. Well, no was was going to be sleeping. It then involved looking to see if we could spot Rudolph, when spotting the males, getting out the car to take photos, shouting stop to see if we spotted something else or just to get the perfect picture.
My son and I now both take photos and he loves asking dad for his phone so he can take some shots. Well I hope my husband had time to delete the three hundred and ninety-seven photos taken last night of the car floor, dashboard, roof and nostrils.... 🤣 But I love that my son wants to now stop and capture the beauty around us. It helps that its not just me wanting to stop and take pictures all the time. 😉
Hope you enjoy these pictures.

Wow! It has almost been a year since posting on this page. Things have been really busy. Almost 2 months ago we emigrated from South Africa to England.

Since being in our little city we now call home, I have managed to capture some of the beauty in this place. I look forward to sharing some of these pictures with you in the near future.

In February I also managed to silly enough/ talked into/ honoured to be the photographer at my aunt's wedding. Those pictures and write up still to come.

Today we went to Spilman Farming for our second round of strawberry picking. 🍓 Nothing quite like fresh fruit. Not only do we get to get strawberries but it is a wonderful outing (and some delicious home made salted caramel ice-cream). We were then also allowed to venture into the sunflower field. 🌻 How ever amazing you imagine it to be, it is that amazing....

We also spotted so many bees 🐝 covered in pollen. The one of the floor had to drop some of its pollen in order to fly as it was too heavy. Can you spot the pollen on the ground?

Looking forward to being more active on this page. I have some exciting ideas I want to put into action and look forward to getting there.

Enjoy your looooong weekend South Africans. Happy Women's Day to all the beautiful ladies for Tuesday.

A few weeks ago our community got together to go 'chameleon hunting' in our local grassland area before the annual burning took place. We went looking for chameleons in the evening to remove while the area was burnt and then put back afterwards. What an experience. Everyone socially distanced, out with flash lights and such a great spirit. What a great community we live in. Some night time pics. Gillitts Park

I'm sure many people are feeling the same way I am. Absolutely exhausted. Running on empty. Working and living through a world wide pandemic takes strength and courage. So to everyone, we've got this.
I have been quiet on this page because I just don't get to posting. I have been taking pictures, all the time though. The lovely thing about winter is the beautiful sunrises we have been spoilt with lately. And even many beautiful views of the moon in the mornings.
But my little family and I have been blessed with some time away in the Berg. Our favourite place. It holds a special place in our hearts. This is some time to connect again as a family and to refresh and restore. Already I have captured some pictures (only been here three and a half hours) and am ready to share them with you.
