new look. same lost soul.

two years ago lost souls studios became official, after many years beforehand of work.

it was a simple doodle that lit the spark became a bit of an identity for me, me and bedsheet ghost became one and i’m happy we have.

it’s been a rollercoaster of a two years, with many highs and lows, finished and lost projects, ideas yet to happen and all the while i’ve never lost hope in what lost souls studios could be. i might not have had the time or energy to dedicate to lost souls studios over the last year, but i’ve never stopped thinking about it.

that’s why, in it’s third year, i want to get that creative spark back and come from under the bedsheet, hopefully filled with new and exciting projects, working with other new and old lost souls and even a couple of other things too (merch anyone?)

for now, i want to unveil on this anniversary and spookiest day of the year, the redesign and new website for lost souls studios.

a couple of months ago, i had a great opportunity to work as a runner for a little documentary about my second home that was commissioned by the bbc.

it was a fun project to work on and an amazing opportunity to gain some vital experience and chat with the production team about what it’s like working on bigger productions for the likes of the bbc.

it’s already up on iplayer or you can watch it tonight at 7:30pm on bbc one.

if you stick around at the credits, you’ll notice some familiar names under runners, hopefully the first professional credit of many in the future.

2023: a year of experiencing experiences

it’s safe to say that 2022 was a big year for me, but 2023 ended up being even bigger! it was a year of experiences experiences, from working to travelling to concerts and everything in between, made even better by some great people!

i’ve been a busy bee so didn’t get round to finishing off my look back video so here’s a trailer for it instead, and the main video will be out soon… ish.

merry christmas all from lost souls studios

a little while ago i participated in the sheffield photomarathon, which meant I had to run around sheffield taking pictures that fit 6 categories:

1. in space
2. out of sight
3. in the flow
4. out of the ordinary
5. in the way
6. out of time

which as you can see, i interpreted in various ways.

i was pretty proud of the last one of the leadmill, especially as i managed to balance holding my phone whilst the alarm was buzzing and my camera to take the photo, and this is the one that made it into the exhibition of images within the sheffield winter gardens!

seeing the photo amongst all the other brilliant entries is another proud moment this year and overall it was a fun day and a great experience!
