A lazy snap from the Three Sisters car park, where youโ€™re greeted with this epic scene.

Needless to say, you donโ€™t have to put in much effort to find spectacular views in Glencoe!

A lovely scene on Loch Achray from a few weeks ago, when we enjoyed one of the first warm spells of the season.

Before the temperatures rose and the sun came out, the loch was blanketed in a thick layer of fog, with pink hues forcing their way through the cloud at sunrise.

Mull is rapidly becoming one of my favourite Scottish islands, with a great mix of beaches, mountains and hidden corners to explore.

I thought this was a nice little scene in one of those quieter spots, with golden sidelight doing its thing ๐ŸŒ…

I had a bit of a foray into woodland photography recently, capturing the bluebells in Glen Carron. I left my main lens at home which got the morning off to a bad start, but I came home with these two images from the Glen.

Iโ€™m also just back from a trip to Mull which didnโ€™t disappoint, as always. The sailing from Oban to Craignure is an absolute cracker! โ›ด๏ธ

Another image from last weekโ€™s overnight trip to Loch Achray, taken at the peak of golden hour just before the sun dipped behind Ben Venue to the west.

You really canโ€™t beat the spring time, when nature bursts back into life, the days get longer and the weather warmer.

Looking forward to next weekends trip to Mull with - and hoping the forecast improves a bit!

I couldnโ€™t have asked for better conditions this week. Mist and fog hung around long enough in the Trossachs area for me to photograph Loch Achray and then move over to Loch Venachar, where this shot was taken.

This scene alone made the 5am start and a cold night in the TentBox worth it!

The Highlands were still very much in winter mode during this weekโ€™s hike to Loch Dochard in Argyll & Bute.

As the days get longer capturing dramatic light becomes harder, requiring earlier starts and later drives home. On the visits when Iโ€™m not camping nearby, Iโ€™ve set out to try and come back with at least one image Iโ€™m happy with, even if it means going home before things get interesting.

The Highlands, in a permanent state of drama it seems, make the task that bit easier.

Iโ€™m currently debating where to go tomorrow for a full day of photography, Glencoe or Loch Rannoch ๐Ÿค”

Probably my favourite stretch of the national park, the road from Aberfoyle to Inversnaid passes by three lochs and brings you out on the eastern shores of Loch Lomond.

This photo, from Loch Ard, was taken just after sunrise, with morning light making its way down the mountain in the background.
