Sunday 9th September 2018.
Congratulations to all the competitors whether you finished or not you have everybody's admiration from the people of Tenby. I hope they all gave you a boost when you were flagging. A special congratulations goes to Masao Matsumoto(2161) from Japan who came over for his seventh Ironman Wales. He had only completed the event once before in the early years. So to complete it this year with just under 8 minutes to spare he was over the moon and was treated to lunch by a local landlord. I took just over 8,000 photo's from 6.16am till 00.20am. I haven't got time to search for numbers as in previous years, instead once I've deleted the rubbish/duplicates I will post a link where if anybody is interested they can search the thumbnails at their leisure.

I hope to see this gentleman in the Harbwr Tenby Harbour Brewery again this year after he has completed his Ironman Wales - Tenby event. His number this year is 2161. His name - Masao Matsumoto. Always a pleasure to meet him.

I think we all knew it was going to be a hard task for automatic qualification with england in the group. The fact it came to the last game shows how much the women's game has progressed over the years. To see so many young girls asking for selfies and autographs was a pleasure to see. Although a hard copy of the match programme for souvenir autographs would have been much appreciated.

I know there is still an outside chance of the play off's, but to get this far a big thanks obviously must go to Jayne, the players and all the back room staff. We all look forward to progressing in the the next qualification tournament. I sincerely hope the media don't lose interest as in previous years.
