“But what if my baby doesn't sleep during the session?” 🤍

It's something I get asked a lot and the answer is, they don't have to.

Some babies sleep almost all the way through their newborn session. Some are wide awake and curious. Most do a little bit of both.

I simply follow your baby.

There is plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, settling and comforting, and if your little one decides they'd rather have a good look around than sleep, we can create beautiful awake portraits too. Just look at those little eyes. 🥹

I've been photographing newborn babies since 2013, and my sessions are relaxed and baby-led, with your baby's safety and comfort always coming first.

This year's Christmas set is a gorgeous snowy Christmas street scene, complete with twinkling lights, Christmas tree, presents, snowballs and plenty of Christmas magic. ✨

And because my backdrop is HUGE, it isn't just for the children, family Christmas portraits are absolutely welcome too!

You don't have to feel “camera ready” to have maternity photographs. 🤍

So many mums tell me they're nervous before their session.
They don't know how to pose, they're not sure what they'll feel comfortable wearing, or they simply don't feel quite like themselves at this stage of pregnancy.
And that's completely okay.

You don't need to know what to do in front of the camera, that's my job.
We'll choose the styling together, I'll guide you through everything, and we'll create photographs that still feel like you.

Because one day, that bump won't be something you see every morning in the mirror.
It'll be part of your family's story. 🤍

A little behind the scenes from today’s newborn session 🤍

There’s quite a bit that happens before a tiny client even gets in front of my camera!

Setting up, choosing everything for the session, getting the lighting just right… and then putting it all away again afterwards. 😂

I couldn’t share this little one’s session today, but I thought I’d show you a little of what goes on behind the scenes instead.

Newborn sessions are never rushed, everything is prepared so that when baby arrives, we can simply take our time and work around them. 🤍

I've been a little quiet on here lately (well for the past few months)… but I'm back ❤️

Sometimes life doesn't quite go to plan and I've had to take a bit of time away.
But I've really missed this. 📸

I've missed being behind the camera, meeting lovely families and capturing these ridiculously tiny little people before they suddenly aren't so tiny anymore! 🥰

So… im back, and my diary is open.
