🚨 MERSEYFLOW LOCAL USER DISCOUNT SCHEME - IMPORTANT UPDATE
Sarah Pochin MP, along with several of our local Reform councillors, have been contacted by a large number of concerned residents following correspondence from Merseyflow advising them that they are no longer eligible for the Local User Discount Scheme (LUDS) and asking them to provide proof of residency.
We have also heard from residents who attended the Merseyflow office with the requested documentation and faced queues of more than three hours.
Following these concerns, Sarah Pochin MP’s office contacted Merseyflow directly for clarification.
Merseyflow explained that its system carries out checks every three months, with a small number of residents normally contacted and asked to provide documentation confirming their eligibility for LUDS.
However, on this occasion, a system error resulted in an excessively large number of residents being contacted.
Merseyflow has apologised for the error and confirmed that it is investigating the issue.
⚠️ IMPORTANT - PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE MERSEYFLOW OFFICE AT THIS TIME
Merseyflow has advised affected residents not to attend its office and instead to wait for further contact while the issue is being looked into.
We have also been assured by Merseyflow that there has been no data breach.
We will share any further information with residents as soon as we receive it.
