Part Eight … The Journey Continues

As I look back over the last ten years, it’s clear that the greatest gift hasn’t been the photographs….. it’s been the people.

To everyone who has trusted me with a camera, welcomed me into camp, shared a horse, driven another dusty track, laughed around a campfire, supported conservation, or simply followed my journey from afar… thank you.

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work alongside inspiring organisations such as , and dedicated conservationists, anti-poaching teams, guides, horsemen and local communities, all united by a shared passion for protecting Africa’s remarkable wildlife and landscapes. Every friendship, every conversation and every adventure has shaped not only my photography, but the person I have become.

To everyone who has followed my work over the years… whether you’ve been here from the beginning or have only recently joined me, thank you for your encouragement, your support and your belief in the stories I try to tell. Every like, comment, message and shared experience has been appreciated far more than you probably realise.

Life has a wonderful way of taking us down unexpected roads. Mine has been full of unforgettable wildlife encounters, extraordinary people and adventures I could never have imagined. I can’t wait to see where the next road leads.

Here’s to many more sunrises, many more stories, many more miles in the saddle, and many more moments that remind us just how extraordinary this world really is.

PART SEVEN | Looking Forward

After nearly ten years photographing Africa, I still wake up excited to see what each day will bring.

There are still stories waiting to be told, conservation projects needing support, and wild places that deserve to be celebrated.

If my photographs inspire even one person to visit responsibly, support conservation, or see wildlife in a different light, then every mile travelled has been worthwhile.

This journey has never really been about photography.

It’s always been about the people and the stories they have to tell

And I’m only just getting started.

PART SIX | The Story Beyond the Frame

A photograph captures one moment.

What it can’t always show is the hours…. or sometimes years, that went into creating it.

The early mornings, long days, patience, frustration over the missed opportunities, the dust.Then the excitement when everything finally comes together and your in the right place at the right time…

Working with organisations like Ant Africa Safaris and Waterberg Rhino UK, Capturing the Ride for Rhinos, anti-poaching units and the incredible Annual Game Census and other conservation projects has taught me that the best stories aren’t always the easiest to capture—but they’re almost always the most important to tell.

PART FIVE | Life in the Saddle

Some of my favourite photographs have been taken on a horseback safari

There’s something incredibly special about exploring the African bush this way. The horses become part of the landscape, allowing you to approach wildlife quietly and respectfully, creating moments that simply aren’t possible from a vehicle.

Whether photographing horses with game, or a fast canter, or just the moments in-between with horse and rider in total sync…. every ride is different, every encounter unique, and every day offers another opportunity to tell a story through my lens.

PART FOUR | The People Behind the Wildlife

The wildlife may be what first catches your eye, but it’s the people and there stories behind the scenes who make these photographs possible.

From the of the reserve owners to the dedication of the rangers. The knowledge of the Guides that always seem to get me into the right place at the right time. Staff, grooms and horse trainers whose partnership with their horses is built on years of trust. Conservationists who dedicate their lives to protecting one of Africa’s greatest natural treasures.

Their commitment reminds me that every image is really about people as much as it is about wildlife.

PART THREE | Riding for a Purpose

Some adventures leave a mark long after you’ve left the saddle.

Ride for Rhinos isn’t simply an incredible horseback safari… it’s a conservation journey through one of Africa’s most remarkable landscapes.

Riding across the Waterberg alongside wildlife on horses that are completely at home in the bush creates an experience unlike any other. Along the way, strangers become lifelong friends, unforgettable memories are made, and every kilometre ridden helps support the protection of wild rhino through Waterberg Rhino UK.

Adventure becomes even more rewarding when it leaves a lasting legacy.

PART TWO | Conservation Through My Lens

The Africa I photograph is beautiful, but it is also fragile.

Behind every image of a wild rhino or elephant is an enormous amount of work carried out by conservationists, veterinarians, reserve managers and anti-poaching teams who dedicate their lives to protecting these animals.

Working alongside Waterberg Rhino UK has allowed me to document that reality—from fundraising initiatives in the UK to anti-poaching patrols and conservation work on the ground in South Africa.

Photography can do more than record a moment. It can help people understand why these places and species are worth protecting.

PART ONE | Why Africa?

Ten years ago I travelled to South Africa with a camera and a passion for wildlife. I had no idea the journey ahead would become such an important part of my life.

Since then, Africa has given me more than photographs. It’s given me friendships, unforgettable adventures, incredible clients, and the privilege of witnessing some of the world’s most spectacular wildlife in its natural environment.

As an award-winning photographer, my goal has never been simply to create beautiful images. I want every photograph to tell a story…..

of conservation, of people, of adventure and of hope.

This is the beginning of that story.
