πŸŽ‰ Exciting News for Saltash! πŸŽ‰

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Saltash Town Council has been awarded Β£100k from the Cornwall Council Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Fund to bring the Waterside Improvement Project to life! 🌟

Thanks to a successful funding application, we are now moving forward with exciting improvements that will make a huge difference to our community. A massive thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey – your dedication and support have made this possible! πŸ™Œ

Special thanks to the Saltash Town Council members for their incredible support and investment of Β£20k to help bring this project to fruition. We’re also incredibly grateful to Cornwall Council for their continued support, and to our amazing supporters Livewire, Ashtorre Rock, and Regatta – without you all, this project wouldn’t be a reality!

The Waterside Improvement Project will include the creation of a new play park and a beautiful sensory garden in the Jubilee Green area at Waterside. These upgrades will provide a fantastic space for local families, residents, and visitors to enjoy, play, and relax. 🌳🌸

We’re so excited to get started and look forward to sharing more updates as the project progresses. Stay tuned for all the exciting developments to come!

This building was erected in the late 1700s, but has been demolished after falling into disrepair.
Initially subject to a planning application for redevelopment, it became clear that reopening it as a pub was unlikely.
However, there was hope that it could have been restored to resemble its appearance from the 1950 photo provided and repurposed for alternative uses.
Such restoration would have enhanced the character and aesthetic of the Saltash conservation area, located along the banks of The Tamar next to Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge.
