Photographer for (East Anglian Children’s Hospice) In 2019 I lost my beautiful daughter Daisy. It has taken me years to even get to the point where I can talk about her without breaking down and even now that's not always the case. In the darkest time of my life, I found photography which became the therapy I needed to carry on. As my skills and knowledge progressed I looked back at all the photos I have of Daisy and me, they are all taken on phones and most are selfies. None of them are good quality. I want to make sure this will not be the case for other families with terminally ill children so I have created The Daisy Martin Project so that I can use the skills I have to create beautiful family portraits, starting with a fun photoshoot and ending with a large high quality framed print for the wall of their family home, totally free of charge! For each family, the process of a photoshoot and creating a large framed print will cost us £450 so The Daisy Martin Project is raising funds to help as many families as possible. I can tell you from experience this will have a positive impact on the lives of families who have suffered tragedy for years to come. Photography saved my life, I want this to be the reason why, help me to help them.

The nēnē (Nay-nay) or the Hawaiian goose, is a species of bird endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. The nene is exclusively found in the wild on the islands of Maui, Kauaʻi, Molokaʻi, and Hawaiʻi. In 1957, it was designated as the official state bird of the state of Hawaiʻi.
They’re also super friendly and love a chat😂

I love the way the low evening sun really brings out the reddish brown in Hudson’s fur, he’s the goodest boy 😊

When you’re scrolling, do you find yourself stopping to look at a particular style of image? Maybe black and white, or very colourful? What is it you like about those images? I ask myself this question all the time, I don’t really have a favourite but I love to see the variety in people’s styles.

For fun I gave myself a photography challenge at the weekend - to go for a walk and come back with a set of shots that I would edit in a cinematic style. I had no idea what the lighting conditions might be, other than day light, and I didn’t know what subjects I would find.
This is the first one, the drama duck 🦆

The piercing sapphire blue eyes of the jackdaws at Aldeburgh beach stare straight into your soul to ask the ultimate question: got any chips? 😂
You can watch the breakdown of my edits in the Adobe Lightroom app. Peace.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog so sad to be at the beach! Maybe it’s just because he lost his chip 😂

It’s always a great honour to be able to photograph for EACH, and I love seeing my work in their publications and social media.
This is one of my favourite photographs I’ve taken for them, it was the culmination of a lot of careful planning, and I’m super proud that it’s on the cover of their Footprints magazine.
We recently had a fundraising evening with one of their biggest patrons: Griff Rhys-Jones, at his home.
Look how happy he is to see me again!😂
Last Christmas Griff’s celebrity packed Christmas show in aid of EACH raised over £150k and we are already looking forward to this year’s!

I camped out at the beach the other night so I could get up super early and get some beautiful, colourful sunrise/long exposure shots on the beach. When I woke up there was a dense fog and my camper was surrounded by crows, the exact opposite of what I was hoping to see!😂
But never let it be said I’m not quick to adapt!
Dark and moody is kind of my thing anyway so I was pretty happy to just go with it and fully commit to the atmosphere with some gritty, punchy black and white. 🐦‍⬛

This was such a great night! The other volunteers put so much effort in, along with the staff, to recreate a fantastic Irish pub atmosphere. It always an honour to photograph at the EACH Treehouse ☺️
