Battle of The Bands 2025!

Here we have Socket, Suko, Skar / Auditory and Stargazer. Hosted at Hunmanby Sports Club by Tommy Taylor with Jilted Records, giving the young musicians of Scarborough a chance to be heard.

I've never done black and white music photography before, I hope that these edits are interesting enough for you. It was a pleasure to photograph this event and I hope to be at the next one.

Print store is live! ⬇️

The first thing I'll say is that I've kept prices as low as I can for this. Starting at just £29, they are probably some of the cheapest professional prints out there. This is more about getting my work into people's hands than it is about making money, I'm also offering 15% off for one month with code 'RELEASE'.

There are two sizes for each print:
- Open Edition | 8x12 inch print on 11x14 inch paper with a white border.
- Limited Edition | 12x18 inch print on 16x20 paper with a white border. Only 5 will be printed this large, they're numbered on the border and come with a certificate of authenticity.

All photos will be printed on high quality Hahnemuhle FineArt Pearl paper. I chose this for it's beautiful balance between matte and glossy, and it shines perfectly wether out in the open or behind glass. Matte is a little dull, and glossy has glare, this is the perfect balance.

All photos will be printed with archival pigment inks, meaning museum grade quality and amazing tonal depth. They will be packaged and shipped carefully, and everything is literally as high quality as it can be.

Finally, all prints will come with a white border which acts as a mat. This is to make these even more accessible and affordable, they will fit nicely in any frame of the right size without needing to go and pay for a custom mat. If you do want a real mat, you can get one of the same size as the border, and it will fit perfectly in the middle without any messing around!

The profit margins on these are very slim, most people are charging hundreds of pounds for prints of the exact same quality, and I understand the idea of charging what people are willing to pay, but atleast for now, I'm keeping these accessible, focusing on the art and not the money.

The theme of drop 001 is 'monochrome', and I've picked 3 of my favourite black and white images. Each month, there will be a new drop with three to ten photos all centred around one theme. Broken Oak, The Cask & Keg! I'm starting to get more and more into music photography, I don't hate the other kinds but this is definitely the most fun. 🙏

Tadhg seems to be the star of the show this time, it's not favouritism I promise he was just being super duper cool. 😇

This is no different to what I've always been doing, I just thought I should give it a name and explain it a bit more. Sessions available in Scarborough, and all the nearby towns such as Bridlington, Filey, Hunmanby, etc. If you want me somewhere a little further such as York, I'll happily come with a small travel fee.
