Wild Northumberland

Those of you who have walked in the Cheviot hills of Northumberland will already know how treacherous and boggy they get, but add in some moody weather and my god it’s atmospheric!

AD / Levelling up the kitchen setup 🍳🔥

My outdoor cooking setup was long overdue an upgrade so Trekitt suggested I switch to the Primus Equipment Kinjia; a dual burner perfect for camping, van life and al fresco beach breakfasts!

First impressions; it’s very powerful, there’s no need for fancy gas bottles, it’s easily cleaned, it cools down pretty quick and it’s the perfect size to slot in behind my bed in the van!

This is honestly such a game changer for me and I’m far too excited about cooking up some seriously tasty treats on our next van trip!

I’m heading back to the Lakes next week (once the temperatures drop) for a long overdue stretch of the legs!

It’s been a manic summer so far work wise and hiking has had to take a back seat for a while so I’ve booked time out in my diary for some proper Wainwright bagging and can’t wait!

[AD] I took my new Hanwag - Outdoor Footwear boots out for their first spin in the Northumberland hills ahead of the Lake District Fjällräven Classic this September.

From carpets of bilberries and vibrant purple heather to that late afternoon light breaking through the clouds, it was heavenly.

Feeling very grateful for days outdoors and super excited to be part of the classic this year!

As always, appreciate the fresh kit, Hanwag!
