A little farewell to summer. 🌾✨
On the last day of August, I wanted to share one of the shoots that feels especially meaningful to me. This afternoon spent with the wonderful Grazina Grazina | Wedding & Events Floral Art photographing her in the process of creating her floral art.
I’ve mentioned in my stories that I wanted this summer to be a season of recharging my creative batteries. But instead June and July became a blur of illness, work, recovery and more work, so August was finally my permission to slow down. To leave my camera untouched for weeks, keep my computer closed, and return to photography only when I genuinely wanted to. Only with love and inspiration.
Because one of my biggest fears is burning out on a craft I’ve grown to love so deeply.
And I realised that one of the greatest gifts photography has given me is people. The incredible local creatives I’ve met, collaborated with and been inspired by along the way.
Photographing Grazina was such a beautiful reminder of that. Watching her follow her intuition and make little creative decisions while I was doing the same behind my camera. We simply allowed the creative flow to lead us, and I love what came from it. 🌿
So this gallery is my little farewell to summer. This is a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the beautiful people this craft keeps bringing into my life.
We know that colder days are coming, but we’ll keep making art. 🤎 🍂
