A Bit About Me

Qualification & Passion: My passion for photography began long before my photography degree. I really love the feeling I get from capturing a great moment, emotion or stunning visual. Experience: Nearly two decades of experience in London media and communications agencies working with brands on their marketing and communications strategies has been invaluable learning. It has enabled me to help individuals work out what their true objective is from any piece of imagery or communication. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of our biggest brands (Kellogg’s, Revlon, McCain, British Heart Foundation, BBC, Transport for London to name a few). Transparency: Keeping my pricing clear from the outset, I like to get to know you and keep our session relaxed and fun, so that you feel comfortable and the result is really beautiful images. Pricing transparency is important to me. A clear pricing structure that enables you to know what the overall cost is for the package you want from the moment we start working together. Working together with you: A welcoming, informal shoot with direction from me and input from you, preceded by a getting-to-know-each-other session that serves two purposes: It helps me work out what kind of imagery you will love and helps you to understand what to expect from the day, be clear on my pricing and feel relaxed and confident that my passion for photography means I can create beautiful images that you can enjoy for years to come.

September is coming and it often feels like a fresh start.

The summer holidays are winding down, diaries start filling up again and suddenly you’re looking at your business with fresh eyes.

That can often be when you realise your photography doesn’t quite reflect where your business is now.

Perhaps your website still features photographs from a few years ago. Maybe you’ve changed your services, your positioning or the way you work with clients. Or perhaps you simply don’t have enough photographs to keep your marketing feeling fresh.

A brand photography shoot shouldn’t just be about creating a collection of lovely photographs.
Before I pick up my camera, I want to understand what your business needs those photographs to do.
What’s your brand personality?
Who are you trying to reach? What do you want them to understand about you? How will you be using your images?

Those answers help shape the shoot, so that you come away with photographs that have multiple uses across your website, social media, newsletters and wider marketing.

If September has you looking at your business with fresh eyes, perhaps it’s time to look at your photography too.

If you’d like to talk through what you might need from a brand photography shoot, please get in touch. I’d be very happy to have a chat.

My thanks to my lovely client Justine Pinpoint Plus and the awesome Claire Marshall for permission to share the work that we’ve done ❤️ and the stunning Broadwick Soho for such a phenomenal venue for our shoot 🤩

If you don’t feel like you’re photogenic, the only way you’re going to get pictures you like, is if you like the person taking pictures of you.

And honestly, that is where everything starts.

Most of the people I work with feel a bit nervous before their shoot. They are not used to being in front of the camera and they worry it might feel awkward.

That is why I focus so much on building rapport.

Before your shoot, we talk through your brand, your goals, and how you want to come across. With my background in brand strategy, I am not just thinking about how your images look, but what they need to do to work really hard for you and your business, across multiple marketing channels.

Then during the shoot, I guide you every step of the way. No guesswork. No standing there wondering what to do. Just a relaxed, supportive space where you can settle in, feel at ease and even enjoy the process.

When you start to relax and have a bit of fun, everything shifts. Your expressions feel natural. Your confidence comes through. And you start to see yourself in a completely different way.

Whether it is brand photography or headshots, it is never about being naturally photogenic.

It is about how you feel in the moment and it’s my job to ensure you feel confident and fully guided throughout.

If you are ready for photos that actually feel like you, get in touch. I would love to help you feel more photogenic 😊

My last Brand Photography Minis Day was so awesome. So many female founders, so many businesses to boost with refreshed imagery that’s bang on brand.

I’m currently organising my next one, so if you’d like to get on the list to hear about it first, drop me a “Brand Photography” comment below.

My thanks to the ever amazing for the BTS video, the lovely and my fabulous clients being part of it all 🌟

(And yes I know I use this Cyndi Lauper track a lot but it really is so fitting 😊)
