A tale from last Autumn 🍂
A year ago I got to photograph the beautiful .james in her stunning London garden studio. I can’t believe almost a whole year has passed since the most gorgeous Autumn afternoon in Brockley with the best light we could’ve asked for. A year on we both are having babies and (my second and her third) and life will probably be a bit more about nappies and cuddles. I actually also got to capture her lovely little girl Juno when she was born. Telling little tales is my favourite thing to do and even though I’m off on maternity leave it’s such a please to always share these little stories and insights ❤️

Like Father Like Son 🐣
Happy 6 months to little Hughie who was an absolute trooper during our photoshoot despite teething. Shooting with babies is never straight forward but some toys and silly faces from mum behind the lens really made him shine ✨ and I’m absolutely in love with these photos.
In other news I’m sitting here uploading this pre-edit gallery and getting ready to slow down a bit for my own little baby. We built the pram and boughten a few things and I now feel like I properly need to nest. 😀 any tips for baby #2 send them my way!

Babies and Bluebells 🪻
What’s more natural than feeding your baby in the middle of bluebells? Some days I do miss the convenience and variety of London but then I am reminded that I get to have shoots like this one on a beautifully Sunday afternoon in an empty Scotney Castle in full bloom. And then it’s all full cycle seeing Emma during our maternity shoot to being a beautiful mama. ❤️

Motherhood ☀️
It’s a wild ride. Slow and fast at the same time. When I met Emma she was a few weeks away from meeting her gorgeous little boy. And since then I’ve seen her on here blossoming in the role of motherhood. Those early days covered in milk and drenched in sleepless nights are hard but the love is magical. Can’t wait to photograph Emma and her little bub in May ❤️

Cosy days in 🌧️
The rainy days make me want to cuddle up and stay warm inside but tonight I’m actually going to the BAFTAs. Third year in a row and I’m so excited. Always fun to get pampered and get dressed up for an evening.
What is your favourite thing to do on rainy days?

☀️ Anyone else craving warmer days?
Winter has been too long already I feel and I’m craving sunnier days like this one with Ari .james last October.
I’ve been working on my Mother’s Day workshop with this week and we are also going to use the opportunity of having a wonderful space at to also do a brand shoot together. What I love most working with fellow female entrepreneurs is the support we give each other. It’s so encouraging and uplifting! is something I truly believe in and seeing the amazing ladies I work with succeed and build incredible businesses makes me so proud 😍.

January thoughts 💭
Admittedly the poor weather, winds paired with early evenings always make it harder to be mega productive in January but I realised it only takes little by little every day to make an impact and also mindset is everything:

SO:
- I have finally started working on my updated website by watching new training videos and moving pages over. My mindset shift here is from “having to do this” to “getting to learn a new tool and keeping my mind active”
- I am planning a workshop with a lovely creative in Sevenoaks which I’ll share about very soon. This will spark some of my creativity and help me make new connections.
- I’m planning a holiday in February to hopefully a sunny location which helps with motivation 😊
- I’m also going to be going to the BAFTAs again this year which means I get to shop for a new dress 😍
So all in all many reasons to stay positive and keep going. Look forward to what the year brings. Hope you are having a fab January too 😘

Spot the stag 🦌
One thing about living and photographing on the countryside is that I get to capture moments like this one when a 🦌 stag photobombed us during our maternity shoot. Knole Park is excellent for a maternity session as it has so much natural foliage and endless backgrounds to choose from. Definitely one to keep in mind if you love the nature inspired photos 🌱

Goodbye 2023
Hello 2024 🥳
2023, the year I swapped my city sneakers for country boots and my urban landscape photography for nature’s canvas. Incredibly grateful for all my clients this year and your support across but especially on this platform. Many of you have been cheering me on from the very beginning and I just want to say how grateful I am.
I’m sure 2024 will feature many more muddy boots and bring along a good amount of change and evolution - both in my photography and also personally. Cheers 🥂 to a wonderful new year with many more opportunities and hopefully a big amount of joy, health and wealth for everyone.
