A selection of Brussels Diamond League pics from Friday evening.

The Ivo van Damme memorial which celebrates its 50th year next year has always been at forefront of Athletics meets in terms of all round entertainment.

This year was no exception with a great showcase of some of the best Belgian young athletes to start.

A fast paced schedule of track and field events with concert quality sound and music.

Super efficient serving of Beer and Frites from the food and drink stands. (Very important obvs)

And an impressive laser show, and DJ set at the end to finish everything on a high.

It was a great experience to have press access, to see behind the scenes of such a big production and to get a few snaps too.

We'll hopefully be back again next year when its the Diamond League final once again over two evenings.

Its as good an excuse as any for a weekend in Brussels.

“Urban air, Shredding the Skyline”

For some snow causes chaos, for others its a chance to break from the norm and indulge in some fun.

Head over to Meersbrook park on a snow day, and you’ll see people talking, laughing, bombing down the hill on sledges, and the occasional skier or snowboarder.

Its a big enough hill to make it almost feel like you are out in the mountains, the novelty makes it fun.

Apparently one of the keen Snowboarders was out at 4am building this little kicker and smoothing out the run up. Dedication indeed.

Here was even thoughtful enough to cover it in autumnal leaves to prevent any early morning dog walkers from tripping over it. :-)

Its hard to beat this view of the Sheffield Skyline.
