I was surprised to be one of the six award winners for the World Photography Awards exhibited at this weeks Fruit and Veg Expo in Madrid mainly because I didn't know my print (top left) had been considered. I didn't attend so can't take credit for poor reproduction, lighting and wonky perspective! The montage is of six months worth of the excess food I collect from a local green grocers (run as a cooperative) in Sheffield, that I deliver two of three times a week to a local charity who provide meals to people suffering in the cost of living crisis. I have also donated the image to The Archer Project, a charity for the homeless, to help them raise a few quid in print sales.

📣📣We are proud to present 'Wish You Were Here'; an impactful and thought-provoking photography & art exhibition that aims to raise awareness about homelessness, the brutality of rough sleeping and it's dire consequences. 📣📣

This exhibition has be co-produced by people who have lived experience of homelessness and together, we aim to elevate their voices to gives others the opportunity to listen and understand the unspoken truths about homelessness and rough sleeping.

The exhibition is a powerful narrative of the lives and experiences of individuals who have found themselves homeless or vulnerably housed. People who have experienced rough sleeping have collaborated with The Archer Project, to share their stories through this remarkable collection of photographs and personal accounts.

To help tell the stories of 6 people who sadly died whilst experiencing homelessness on the streets in Sheffield, we are collaborating with 6 of the best, up-and-coming Sheffield artists;

Each of these talented artists has poured their creativity into crafting individual art installations that represent the unique identities of the individuals, creating a tapestry of stories that demand our attention and compassion.

Curated collaboratively by 📷 , people with experience of rough sleeping and the ingenious minds at 👁️ . This exhibit's setup mirrors a seaside gift shop's entrance – a doorway to understanding. Prepare to be moved, enlightened, and stirred to want to make a difference and challenge perceptions about homelessness in the UK.

Bursting into March with the colours of spring! ☀️🌿

The evenings are officially getting lighter, the buds are growing on the trees and hedgerows and pops of colour are starting to emerge into the surrounding landscape, Spring is really nearly here! 🌸

This image really captures all the beautiful colours fresh produce! And whats better it serves up such an inspiring story 🧡

📖 A montage of 81 images of weekly collections of food that couldn’t be sold by a local green grocer. It was delivered it to a charity that makes home cooked vegetarian ‘ready made’ meals and fruit desserts for those in financial hardship.
