Summer time is here! I find Summer a tricky season to Photograph because the golden hours I like to photograph in are very early and late. Until the heather blooms in the Peak District I’m always unsure what to photograph.

The are always nice to check in on, a couple of hours with these guys in the stunning surroundings always grounds me and gets my focus back on track.

Seaside & Rainbows

I had a short break in Tenby last week. When we arrived, we were greeted with heavy rain, but soon the sunshine came out and we were spoiled with a few rainbow sightings!

It was funny because ITV Studios were filming a murder mystery, and as the director said “ACTION,” this first rainbow appeared! Naturally, I was running around trying my best to get some shots, but it’s always tough when it’s a location you don’t know that well . Luckily for me, the rainbow kept lining up with some of the local landmarks, which helped!

Unfortunately, the weather stopped us getting to Skomer this year, but we still had a fab time. There’s so much to do around Pembrokeshire, and it really is a stunning part of the UK!

I’ve got more to share from this costal National Park 😃

The blue bells are past their best near me but the is looking fantastic! That smell! 😍

Recreating my Bluebell Blur shot from my camera and prime lens with the iPhone! Using cinematic video mode.

Are the still out where you are? Feels like spring is flashing by. If only we could pause time to take these moments in a little longer!

It’s abit of a bluebell blur 💜💙

I’ve photographed this scene for a few years now and yet there’s always different angles or techniques to use to come away with something different.

Have you found some lovely scenes this spring? It makes such a difference when the weather is this glorious!

Back in my mini haven, this view with the sounds of the woodland and the smell of wild garlic! It’s time to get out exploring then slow down and take it all in.

Happy birthday! 🎂

75 years ago, the Peak District became the UK’s first national park 💚
Created to give people space, fresh air and a connection with nature, it’s something that still feels just as important today.

It’s also a living, working landscape, home to farmers, families, and communities, as well as the millions who come to visit each year. We see that every day here on the farm, and it’s a big part of why this place feels so special.

We feel very lucky to live and work here, and to share it with our guests.

Happy 75th birthday to the Peak District National Park and here’s to protecting it for generations to come.
