The photographs I love most aren’t always the ones I expected to take
I used direct flash as it was a dark room and I thought the flash would add an editorial feel to the image which would match the vibe of the venue and highlight the boys reflection in the table
I had about 3 seconds to choose when to shoot as the boy was obviously moving around a lot, this was the perfect moment
The dog adds a feeling of royalty to the image, do I need a reason for including a dog in a photo though?
The red flowers on the dress popping in the background give the image real depth
A cocktail in hand tells you exactly what time of the day it is - especially as it’s an espresso martini
There are 3 main points where your eyes go, odd numbers make your eyes travel around the image and creates a natural triangle shape - your brain loves this
The overall red tone and pattern on the rug adds a lot of royalty and tells you what kind of venue this is
