One of the aircraft in our fleet is the mighty Cessna 172. This is a versatile light aircraft, with many advantages as an aerial photography platform.

In addition to the high wing design, you can open the window in flight, giving you completely unrestricted views.

Make sure you wear a hat if it's chilly though!

Happy 21st to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance 🥳🚁🥳🚁

Today we're celebrating 21 years of saving lives across Yorkshire!

Yorkshire Air Ambulance was founded on 25th October 2000 and consisted of a small crew operating a leased Bolkow helicopter G-PAS, from a Portakabin at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Today the Charity operates two state-of-the-art Airbus H145 helicopters and two Rapid Response Vehicles (RRV's) from two bases and responds to over 1300 incidents each year.

None of this would be possible without the generous donations from the people, organisations, and businesses across Yorkshire.

What an amazing aircraft, the B-17 is a WWII heavy bomber still flying and based in the UK. We can't wait to see her flying again next year!

Sally B’s 2021 season is now finished!

In a few weeks she will go under cover in hangar T2N at Duxford where the maintenance crew will prepare her for next year.

Although the season was short due to Covid-19 measures it was still successful, we did not miss any flights due to technical or weather reasons! That is an achievement with thanks to all the volunteers that made it possible.

We will fly again in May 2022!
