Did you know?

During World War II, some British photographers were secretly trained as spies.

The UK’s Special Operations Executive (SOE) recruited skilled photographers to work undercover in Nazi-occupied Europe. These photographers posed as civilians - sometimes as traveling portrait or wedding photographers - and used hidden cameras or altered gear to capture crucial intelligence. Their knowledge of lighting, composition, and discretion made them perfect for covert operations.

It’s a fascinating example of how photography skills were used in ways far beyond art or documentation -literally helping shape the course of history.

As a photographer, it’s such a joy to be part of these intimate milestones – those tiny hands, the proud smiles, the laughter in between the blessings.

Christenings are such special occasions, and I feel so lucky to freeze these moments that families will look back on for years to come. Here’s to Charlotte and the wonderful journey that lies ahead for her! 🌸
