September has arrived, and this will be my most travelled month of the year so far, from far up north to far down south, then trips to Italy and the Scottish islands.

Travel has been a part of my life ever since I met my husband 17 years ago, it was even a part of our wedding vows. So it’s no surprise it’s made its way into my work too.

And honestly, I absolutely love it.

There’s something about photographing a wedding somewhere completely new that never gets old. The landscapes, the food, the little differences, the feeling of being somewhere I’ve never been before, and getting to experience all of it whilst doing a job I love.

This gorgous day in the Dolomites took my breath away (quite literally, I gasped when we got to the lake), I feel incredibly lucky that my work has given me an excuse to keep exploring 💫

The beauty of leaving a little breathing room in your wedding morning ✨

Because sometimes it’s not a planned portrait session you need, it’s ten quiet minutes, a beautiful car, and enough time for an idea to unfold.

A few of the faces behind Groves Construction 👷🏼

I’ve been loving doing branding sessions this year, and thought I’d kick things off by sharing this one, a very hot day spent visiting a couple of sites around Shrewsbury with Gc.

They needed some branding imagery to elevate their new website, create content for social media, and document the huge project they’re currently working on: constructing an incredible new nursing home in the heart of Shropshire.

Of course, having your photo taken doesn’t come naturally to most people, but that’s where I come in, making everyone feel as relaxed as possible and capturing them as they actually are. The lads did such a great job too, even when it came to their headshots!

I also gained a whole new appreciation for anyone working in trades in this heat. Absolute machines. 🥵

There’s something I really love about photographing businesses and the people behind them, giving you a bank of images that actually feels like you and can be used across your website, socials and beyond.

Knowing these photographs will be looked at on quiet Sunday mornings, shown to future children, passed around family tables and revisited for decades to come…

Previews go a little something like this 💫

Scarlett & Will… fully in it, the whole day.
Big energy, zero holding back, just completely themselves and completely present with each other.

A wedding at their family farm, surrounded by the people who know them best, felt exactly how it should, relaxed, expressive, and full of feeling.

I always say it, but I really do feel it… how lucky am I that my kind of people find me. The ones who embrace it all and just live their day 🫶🏼
