HEATWAVE ☀️

My little wild-hearted one.

Captured in the garden during the heatwave (though I think the whole summer might have actually been a heatwave this year), taking a well-earned break from a very hot trampolining session.

Lately I’ve felt their childhood slipping through my fingers a little too quickly. So I’m making a point of picking up my camera more - not just for clients - & collecting the little things, the everyday magic, the moments, their stories that I know one day I’ll want to remember.
I kind of feel nostalgic even as I’m taking the picture. That’s how fast they’re growing! 🥹

MOON CHILD 🌙

This one has always loved the moon. We even have our own little song about it 🫶 “Where are you, moon?” 🌙
(Maybe we’ll sing it for you sometime 😅).

And so… just like that, the kids are back at school / starting new schools, getting into the rhythm of early mornings again, soaking up new skills & finding their flow after a drifty summer.

Noah has just started big school, which is just crazy. Leo’s moved into Year 10 (his brain will no doubt start to hurt soon 😅) & our little lady is in Year 2 already. I feel like I was taking her for her first day at preschool yesterday… and equally, I feel like the boys were walking into her school with their big back packs slung over their shoulders five minutes ago!

September always makes me nostalgic — the last of the long grass and summer light, a new season beginning, and that familiar feeling that childhood is moving far too quickly.

Maybe that’s why I’ve always loved to photograph the little things. The things I know I’ll want to remember.

So, so sad, the heavens have gained a sparkling angel. 💔

Some people just have a light about them, even through a radio, or a TV screen… ✨
What an amazing talent, singer, songwriter, storyteller, actress, philanthropist, wise & witty beautiful soul & kind human.
I’ve been listening to my favourite Dolly tracks all afternoon, she was incredible.
My heart goes out to her family & friends.
Dolly we will always love you! 🤍🦋🪽💫

How are we flying through the summer holidays so fast?
In between photography work, & running a couple of beautiful events (& attending some lovely ones too), enjoying some family time & embarking on a little camping adventure, packing, unpacking; celebrations & entertaining the kiddos (well, the smallest one) & running around after the bigger ones… The summer seems to be slipping through my fingers… but there’s still time to take a breath.
And besides juggling a little work this morning, I’m casting aside my to do list & setting aside this weekend to press pause, and just slow down. Hope you have a chance to have some down time this summer whatever you’re up to ☀️ xx

I’ll be hosting this special afternoon alongside my very own little artist who is very excited. ✨
Children will create their own beautiful canvas painting and decorate a shell, inspired by the colours and magic of the sea.
A playful, welcoming workshop designed to encourage imagination and creative confidence.
All materials are included, and children can take their creations home.
Parents are welcome to stay on request at no additional cost. Children under six will need an adult to remain with them.

As much as I’m a summer girl, after having the fan on all night it’s actually been pretty lovely waking up to a slightly cooler day. ☀️🍃

Throwing it back to this portrait of the beautiful Ella, shot for Professional Photo magazine. I had the chance to swap my usual camera gear for a gorgeous Leica for the day... safe to say I was a little reluctant to hand it back afterwards. ☺️ xx
