What a wedding day this was!

It was an early start for Kira & Ben at Holiday Inn Bromsgrove, and as they had booked my full day package, I got to be there from the very beginning, starting with morning prep with Kira and her bridesmaids.

It was a busy morning, with plenty happening around Kira, but she was absolutely amazing throughout. Calm, happy and completely surrounded by the most wonderfully warm and welcoming friends and family. I was made to feel part of the gang from the moment I arrived, which always makes such a difference.

And then there was the dress! Kira looked incredible. It suited her perfectly, and that VEIL! It was a proper statement veil and ridiculously long. Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE a long veil!

The ceremony went beautifully, and although the weather was a little damp, it certainly didn't dampen the celebrations. Guests headed outside for the confetti, before we moved on to the group photographs, with everyone making the most of the welcome drinks and canapés along the way.

Ben was an absolute star during the group shots. He was keen to help organise everyone and get the right people together, which definitely made my job a whole lot easier! Teamwork makes the group-photo dream work!

We decided to save Kira & Ben's couple photographs until after their wedding breakfast and speeches, and I think it worked perfectly. Once the formalities were done, we could sneak away together for some calm, relaxed time with just the two of them.

And honestly, these two...

There was such a lovely connection between them. The kind where you don't need to manufacture anything or give them a hundred instructions. They just naturally fit together. Looking through these photographs, I think it's pretty obvious that Kira & Ben were made for each other.

Then came the evening... and this is where things got a little lively!

In all my years photographing weddings, I don't think I've ever seen a group of guests get onto the dancefloor quite so early. It was 6pm and the dancefloor was already absolutely packed! Even the DJ and I were looking at each other thinking, well... this is happening early!

And, of course, Kira was first up!

After the first dance and a particularly emotional Father-Daughter dance, it was time for me to say my goodbyes and leave this brilliant bunch to carry on the party into the night.

Kira & Ben, thank you so much for trusting me to tell the story of your wedding day from those first moments of morning prep right through to the dancefloor madness. It was an absolute pleasure to be there.

What a fantastic day for Beth & Charles at the beautiful Hanbury Barns!

From the very beginning, this wedding had such an incredible sense of joy, love and celebration. Their pastor-led ceremony was absolutely wonderful, filled with joyful music, prayer and so much emotion. You could genuinely feel how much this marriage meant to everyone there.

And then came the confetti tunnel... EPIC! A proper tunnel of love, laughter and flying petals as B&C made their way back down the aisle as newlyweds.

The rest of the day was every bit as brilliant. Crazy golf, sunshine, incredible food, heartfelt speeches and plenty of laughter, followed by some absolutely brilliant Ghanaian dancing that brought the whole celebration to life.

One of my favourite moments was seeing the wedding party make their entrance into the evening reception, with Beth & Charles having disappeared to get changed and ready to properly kick off the evening celebrations. The energy in that room was something else!

And, of course, this wasn't just a photo job for me. B&C booked our Photo & Film package, which meant I got to spend the day working alongside the brilliant David from Eternally Adored Films . It's always great having another creative alongside me, and we had a fantastic time capturing the day from both sides of the lens.

Beth & Charles, thank you so much for choosing us to be part of your wedding. Thank you for trusting us with all those big moments, little moments and everything in between.

What a day. What a celebration. What a pair.

⚡⚡ Charlie & Giverny ⚡⚡ The Painswick ⚡⚡

There are weddings where the whole world seems to disappear for a little while, and Charlie & Giverny’s gorgeous elopement at The Painswick in the Cotswolds was exactly that.

A beautifully relaxed morning. Just C & G, me, the registrars and two witnesses. No big crowd, no fuss, no pressure. Just the two of them, holding hands and trying very hard not to look at each other before their ceremony!

And what a setting to do it in. The Painswick is absolutely stunning and felt like it had been made for an intimate elopement like this.

After they said “I do”, we took a stroll around the grounds, soaking up that gorgeous Cotswold setting before wandering through the village towards the church. There was confetti, a champagne pop, plenty of laughter and some seriously beautiful light to play with.

And then there was Charlie & Giverny themselves. What a beautiful couple.

Once we'd wrapped up their couple portraits, I left these newlyweds to enjoy the rest of their day together. And honestly, they were a literal joy to work with from beginning to end.

If you're currently toying with the idea of an elopement, here's my advice:

DO IT.

You absolutely don't need hundreds of guests, a huge venue or a wedding that lasts three days to make it special. Sometimes keeping it small, personal and completely about the two of you is the perfect way to get married.

And if you do decide to elope... book me for the photos!

Charlie & Giverny, thank you for letting me be part of your wonderfully intimate little adventure. It was an absolute pleasure.
