Normally the photos of the happy couple with their witnesses isn't the most interesting of photos. However, that all changed yesterday, and this is easily my favourite photo from the wedding of Clair and Daniel that I had the pleasure of photographing in Romsey yesterday.

It does however need a bit of explanation. Earlier, before the ceremony one of the witnesses was giving "the finger" (in jest) to someone else in the wedding party. It became a bit of a running joke through the rest of the afternoon, so naturally I felt the need to join in and well, gave the finger back at her during this normally quite serious moment.

The photo, well I captured the the moment.

It was a good day, and very well run by The White Horse in Romsey. Lots of tea flowing in my direction, and perfect weather. Sadly though, no cake for me!

Stepping away from fast cars and festivals today with some photos of a new statue unveiled in Romsey earlier this afternoon.

The statue is of HM Queen Elizabeth II and was sculpted by Amy Goodman. Sculptor & Portrait Artist.

It is rather excellent, and if you go, make sure you pay special attention to the back of the statue as for me that's where the real brilliance is.
