I recently had a conversation with a musician friend about how a lot of music photographers will work for free or pay to get into gigs in order to gain experience.
As well as shooting gigs, I've driven musicians, helped them with load in and load out, looked after their merch, and promoted their gigs.
In return, I've had people pull my work down from social media and then use it for self promotion or promoting their shows and tours, all without credit or having my watermark cropped out.
I do what I do because I love to lift people, whether that's music or sports at grassroots level.
Please, let's do the bare minimum for each other, and respect each other's art.
