Welcome to KJS Photography!
I’m Kellie, a photographer with over 16 years of experience, specialising in newborns, babies, children, families, cake smashes, maternity, weddings and more.
My home studio is based in Great Wakering, Essex, where I aim to keep photography relaxed, fun and affordable for families.
✨ ALL EDITED DIGITAL IMAGES ARE INCLUDED WITH MY STANDARD SESSIONS.
There are no complicated image packages, no choosing your favourites and no unexpected costs afterwards. What I edit from your session is yours to keep. Prints are available to purchase if you wish.

👶 NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY — £175
My newborn sessions are relaxed and baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, settling and changing if needed.
Sessions last approximately 2–2.5 hours and include:
• All professionally edited digital images
• Use of wraps, blankets and props
• Individual photographs of baby
• Parent and sibling photographs
• A mixture of poses and natural moments
• Colour and black & white versions where appropriate
Newborn sessions are ideally booked for 5–14 days old, but I am happy to photograph babies up to around 8 weeks old under the newborn package.

🍼 MIDWAY BABY SESSION — £120
Missed the newborn stage? Don’t worry! ❤️
This session is perfect for older babies who are no longer tiny newborns but aren’t quite at the sitting stage yet.
Approximately 60–90 minutes, including:
• All professionally edited digital images
• Individual photographs of baby
• Family photographs
• A few outfit changes
• Plenty of time for cuddles, smiles and interaction
Ideally suited to babies from around 8 weeks through to the sitting stage.

🤰 MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY — £75
A relaxed 30–45 minute studio session to capture your pregnancy and that special stage before your little one arrives.
The session includes:
• All professionally edited digital images
• Use of my maternity gowns
• A variety of poses and setups
• Partner and sibling photographs welcome
I also encourage you to bring a well-fitted outfit or underwear set if you feel comfortable doing so, as this can create some beautiful and more personal images.

🎂 CAKE SMASH — £75
Celebrate that all-important first birthday with a fun and messy cake smash!
Sessions last approximately 45 minutes and include:
• All professionally edited digital images
• Styled cake smash backdrop and props
• Cake smash photographs
• Family/individual photographs where appropriate
• A lovely bubbly bath to finish and clean up 🧼
Cake and birthday outfit are supplied by parents.
Helium balloons are not included, although you’re welcome to bring your own if you’d like them incorporated into the setup. I am happy to make my own balloon arches just not filled with helium.

👨👩👧👦 FAMILY & CHILDREN’S PORTRAITS — £75
Perfect for updating your family photographs, capturing your children as they grow or simply having some beautiful photographs of the people you love.
Sessions include:
• All professionally edited digital images
• Individual child photographs
• Sibling photographs
• Full family photographs
• Different combinations of family members
My studio can accommodate approximately 10 family members, depending on ages and the combination of people.
Well-behaved pets are also welcome. 🐾
Sessions generally last 30–60 minutes, depending on the size of the group.

🌿 ON-LOCATION FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY — £75
Prefer the outdoors?
I also offer relaxed family sessions at local outdoor locations.
The session includes all professionally edited digital images.
I have several local areas that I particularly love using for family photography, so I’m always happy to recommend a location based on the type of photographs you’re looking for.
A small travel charge may apply for locations further afield.

💍 WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Full-day wedding coverage generally ranges from £750–£1000, depending on the timings and requirements of your day.
Full-day coverage can include everything from bridal preparations through to the evening reception, including the cake cutting and first dance.
I also offer half-day coverage.

🏫 PRE-SCHOOL & NURSERY PHOTOGRAPHY
I currently photograph six local pre-schools/nurseries, with additional settings being added over time.
These sessions are organised directly through the nursery or pre-school, with photographs made available for parents to view and purchase online afterwards.
It’s also a lovely way for settings to raise additional funds, as participating nurseries receive commission from sales to put back into their setting and the children’s education. ❤️

🎁 GIFT VOUCHERS
Photography vouchers make a lovely gift for new parents, grandparents, birthdays and special occasions.
Vouchers are available for:
• A specific photoshoot
• Or a monetary value of your choice
They are personalised and emailed to you so that you can print and gift them yourself.
Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

📸 DO YOU LIMIT THE NUMBER OF PHOTOS I RECEIVE?
No! ❤️
I don’t believe in making you choose your favourite photographs from a gallery you’ve already paid me to create.
I edit the photographs I believe are worth delivering and you receive the full edited gallery included in your session price.
No hidden image costs. No surprise extras.

✨ DO I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR EDITING?
Absolutely not.
All photographs included in your gallery are professionally edited in Photoshop.
Where appropriate, I will also provide selected photographs in both colour and black & white.

💷 DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
This depends on the type of session and whether I need to purchase anything in advance for your booking.
Where a deposit is required, I’ll let you know at the time of booking.
The remaining balance can be paid on the day by cash, bank transfer or PayPal.

⏰ HOW LONG WILL MY PHOTOS TAKE?
My usual turnaround time is approximately 6–8 weeks.
During particularly busy periods, especially around Christmas and wedding season, this can occasionally be longer.
I always appreciate your patience while I carefully edit your photographs. ❤️

👶 HOW OLD SHOULD MY BABY BE FOR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHS?
Ideally, newborn photographs are taken between 5–14 days old, when babies are generally sleepier and more settled.
However, I don’t want anyone to feel that they’ve “missed their chance” if their baby is older.
I am happy to photograph babies up to around 8 weeks old under my newborn package, depending on the baby and the style of photographs you’re looking for.

🏡 A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT MY STUDIO
My studio is based at my home in Great Wakering, Essex.
I’m also a mum, with two children of my own — Lillie-Rose, 12, and Nellie, 7. ❤️
Because I run my photography business from home, they will occasionally be around during sessions and may pop their heads in to say hello!
I’m a mum running a business around my children and family life, and I really appreciate clients being comfortable with the fact that this is a home-based family studio.
