Sometimes babies have other ideas about going to sleep despite all the tricks I have up my sleeve, and that’s okay! My sessions are baby led so we adapt and roll with it! Your images will be beautiful regardless!

There’s always room for the dog too 🐾

I know a lot of families wonder whether they can include their dog in their session and the answer is, where possible, yes please!

They’re part of the family. Usually the first baby, the little shadow, the one who has stayed loyal through the growing family.

Family sessions don’t have to be stiff or overly formal. They can include all the people you love most, including the four legged ones who will absolutely steal the show if given half a chance.

There’s something about a red maternity dress, isn’t there?

It feels confident without needing to shout.

A little bold, a little classic, and really beautiful against a simple studio backdrop.

If you’re not sure what kind of maternity photos you want, that’s completely fine. Some mums come in knowing exactly what they love. Others say “I have no idea, please help me,” and that is absolutely okay too.

I’ll talk you through the dresses, poses and little details so you’re not left trying to work it all out on your own.

The aim is for you to feel comfortable, looked after and maybe a bit surprised by how much you enjoy it.

Sometimes you do just need a dress that makes you feel a bit ridiculous in the best possible way.

Not ridiculous as in uncomfortable or over the top.

Ridiculous as in, “Oh okay, this is actually quite fun and I might be having a tiny princess moment here.”

Maternity sessions don’t have to be serious from start to finish. They can be elegant, soft, playful, dramatic, simple, or a bit of everything.

If you love the idea of a big floaty dress but worry you won’t know what to do in it, please don’t. I’ll help with posing, movement, angles and all the little bits that make it work.

You just have to turn up and let me boss the fabric around.

Which, I’ll admit, I quite enjoy.

Partner photos are always welcome in maternity sessions.

And before anyone panics, no, you don’t both need to arrive knowing how to pose together like you’re in a perfume advert.

Most couples don’t know what to do in front of a camera at first. That’s completely normal. I’ll guide you, give you little prompts, and keep it relaxed so it feels more natural than you probably expect.

These photos are about the two of you before life changes again. The waiting, the excitement, the “we’re really doing this” bit.

You can keep it simple, soft and classic, or we can make it a bit more styled if that’s more your thing.

Either way, I’ll talk you through it all.

Probably quite a lot, because I do like a chat 😂
