They don't have to mark a newborn arrival, a first birthday or a big milestone.
Any age is the perfect time - full of smiles , personality and little expressions and details you want to remember.

A day of so many firsts.

Jack starts high school.
Lily goes into Primary 4.
Edie starts Primary 1.
And wee Nora starts nursery.

And I’m starting a new job too, as Marketing Coordinator at Twin Deer Law.

For the last 7 years I’ve been lucky enough to be at home raising my babies, while also working for myself as a photographer. I’ll still be doing my photography alongside the new job, but life is definitely going to look a bit different from tomorrow.

It feels like I’m closing a book full of chapters that I know everything about and opening a new one that doesn’t even have chapters in it yet!

A really big day for everyone ❤️

Sweet Heather 🤍

Heather was over from Europe with her mum and dad to visit her grandparents near Arisaig, and they booked in a session while they were here.

At three months old, this wasn’t a newborn shoot, but she was so settled that we still managed a few newborn-style photos alongside plenty of smiles, cuddles and lovely family moments.

Sessions like this are so lovely - a chance to capture a family’s time together while they’re all in the same place, especially when they don’t get to see each other very often

I always love taking sibling photos during newborn sessions. Charlotte and Christian were so gentle with their new baby brother , and this was one of my favourite images from the morning

You don't always need a studio full of props and intricate posing, sometimes all you need is your own home

This morning’s in-home newborn session was a little team effort… 🤍

Meet gorgeous baby Molly and her very proud big brother, Hunter. 🐶👶

A steady supply of Rich Tea biscuits may have been involved in getting him to stay exactly where we needed him! 🍪😂

Seeing families include their four-legged family members in their newborn photos is always so special. Molly will see Hunter with her right from the start 🥰
