What an experience. ✨🌒
I had to capture the little moments from the eclipse this evening with my family. The neighbours started appearing, first appearance; an iconic welding mask (which, unfortunately, did not work 😂). We were rather lucky to have ISO-certified eclipse glasses, but efforts were great, from the pinhole method… take two, because the first attempt definitely didn’t go to plan, to a colander!
We experimented with phones, glasses, colanders and anything else we could find. And honestly, the colander was a star, creating multiple little reflections of the eclipse that were so cool to see.
But one of my favourite parts wasn’t even the eclipse itself. It was looking around and seeing everyone soaking in the moment together. Neighbours coming out, chatting, sharing glasses, trying different ways to see it…
The shadows cast through the leaves onto the ground were another highlight for me. Seeing those little crescent shapes appear everywhere was genuinely incredible, one of those things you don’t fully appreciate until you see it happening in front of you.
As we got closer to the peak, the whole evening just felt a little bit magical.
So grateful I got to experience it with such a lovely bunch of people, whose names I still don’t know (please tag/mention). It’s one I hope I never forget. 🫶🏼✨
