It’s been awhile since I’ve posted to this page. I have been looking through old hard-drives whilst in lock down and have decided to post an image or two over the next week. This one was taken at the Old Man of Storr December 2017. My feet froze waiting for the light to appear. It never hit the Old Man!

I have just arrived back home after a week in Argyll. I walked past this waterfall most days, The rock in the middle always caught my eye. It stood out in the middle of the two flows of water. On the last day I put my wellies on and tried to capture it. I quickly realised that the only place where you can get this perspective is by the road that I walked on everyday. I changed to a long lens and took this shot from the road. I will know better than to go stomping up and down a river next time😀

My Skye Life image has made in to the Skye photo challenge top ten this year! It would be much appreciated if all friends and followers could stick a wee vote in for me on the link below.

“I was driving home from an unsuccessful sunrise shoot, when I noticed the most amazing light hitting Cleat and the Trotternish Ridge. I pulled up at the side of the road and quickly found a composition using the road as a leading line. A crofter in a Land Rover drove right into my composition and started to throw hay around for the sheep. Being a local to Skye, if I was asked to sum up Skye in one photograph, I think this would be it.”

The Cuillin and the Galaxy - I managed to time it so that the moon would rise and light the landscape whilst the milky way was behind the Cuillin.
