My first 20+ hour astro integration.

LDN 1235 - The Dark Shark Nebula. A collection of interstellar dust and nebulae 650 light years from Earth in the constellation Cepheus.

LDN 1235 relates to the dark nebula forming the eye of the shark. Also seen here are the lighter reflection nebula of vdB 149 and vdB 150. The larger dust cloud forming the rough shape of a celestial shark measures approximately 15 light years from head to tail.

You’ve got to have Soul.

The Soul Nebula, also known as IC 1848, is an emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia, 6,500 light years from Earth. This vast cloud of gas and dust where new stars are born is often imaged along with the Heart Nebula, IC 1805. Winds and ultraviolet light from young stars are excavating a cavity in the nebula. Denser areas are eroded less quickly forming giant pillars of dust and gas that point towards the central star cluster.
