Every so often, serendipity happens and, for me, it did on holiday last week. I woke just before dawn, looked out of the window and saw this lovely view over Swansea Bay, towards the Mumbles lighthouse. I had to take a photo, despite the unearthly hour, and I'm so pleased with this image that I've just ordered a framed print for my personal collection.

It is unusual for the blue of the sky to so closely match the blue of the sea and it makes the land appear to be floating between the sea and the sky.

Insurance companies and Government bodies strongly advise keeping good records of your valuables just in case you ever need to make a claim. This means keeping receipts, validation certificates and valuations somewhere safe along with your policy documents. We recommend that your precious items are photographed on a regular basis, especially when you have something new that needs to be insured. This involves setting up a service contract, which is usually either annual or six monthly and, if you pay by Direct Debit, we’ll give you a 5% discount on your first year. http://www.iskild.com/our-services/

When we take out insurance we hope to never have to make a claim. If you do suffer loss or theft, however, and have to make a claim it can be a painful process.
