Cecelina

My vision is to create fine art photography work which you will be able to look back at for the rest of your lives. You will remember a time when you were loved, gorgeous, happy and together. Through natural and elegant photographs, I endeavour to showcase an editorial and emotional side of your wedding or engagement, focusing on connections, details and moments. The experience will be fun, exciti

ng, immersive and full of happiness. I will be with you throughout the process, from planning stages to after the wedding day and will be a trusted ally throughout. For questions and enquiries, please email me on [email protected].

Thrilled to finally publish the video I created for this October. Pop over to their page and see their fantastic and inspiring work. We had such a fun time shooting this in Stockholm - it's always an honour to photograph talented and passionate entrepreneurs.

The first edits from this week’s shoot for

_

We spent all of Tuesday at their vineyard, tucked amongst the rolling hills of West Sussex. Here we created imagery around stories of family, of sharing, and of quality. This lovely family are building something special. And having tasted the wine, I can tell you that it is DELICIOUS.

_

Shoot days always make me tingle with excitement. All those hours preparing and visualising, it feels like magic when it all comes together. Fiona spent a whole day on Monday preparing the gorgeous spread of foods for our two meal setups (and yes we got to eat it all too!) In the morning I picked the spot where I wanted the table to go, the perfect place with consistent and beautiful light. There were a few nervous moments as we nearly failed to get the table out of the doorway, but in the end we prevailed. I can’t wait to properly go through the photos but in the meantime I couldn’t resist editing a few sneak peeks.

How do you create photography for your business that not only looks and feels in line with your brand, but also sends signals about what your client can expect, the uniqueness of what you are offering, your values and expertise? How do you find and cultivate a relationship with a photographer and how can you even tell that they’re any good? It feels like me and have been taking about brand photography for months in the creation of our online course Compose and Captivate, but I still get questions sent to me about it which shows me it’s on so many peoples minds.

_

It is a hard time for many businesses at the moment, but we believe there is no time like now to really evaluate our work and make it work for us in a new type of world (I for one have had to change direction totally). Part of doing that successfully comes with a powerful brand and photography to match. There is no better authority on branding like Fiona and I’ve had the pleasure of bringing all my skills as a storyteller into this collaboration. We really believe this is going to change the way you approach your brand photography forever.

_

Until Thursday Compose and Captivate will be on for the special launch price of £310 when it goes up to £395. As this is mine and Fiona’s first online course together, we decided to celebrate with picking 10 names from the first two weeks of signups (ending 16 July) for a brand story review. This is a chance to hear us identifying some of your most compelling stories and how to communicate them in beautiful photography. I can wait for this reveal! We are already blown away that the course have been such a success and can’t wait to see how you all will use it to bring your stories to life.

_

If you’d like to sign up the link is in my profile and I would highly recommend reading Fiona’s blog posts on the topic, for example: “What to photograph when you don’t have a visual or product based business” and the styling case study of our shoot for an English vineyard and a flower farm. The 10 brands will be drawn live - more details to come and I am SO excited to see you there!! So long from the Swedish forests...

Sneak peek from yesterday’s shoot for and what an amazing day we had! I was already a fan of their handwoven carpets, but seeing them in person, they are a thing of beauty. Apart from the drool worthy fabrics the ethos behind their business is one to admire, supporting the craftsmanship of their female weavers in South Africa. Using only ethically sourced materials this has become one firmly on my want-list (did I mention it’s my birthday soon…?) Thank you Jennine and Marion for this shoot and Kate for hosting us at your gorgeous London home. More photos coming soon: so excited to show you!

This morning I got up before sunrise, quietly got dressed and left the house all wrapped up, camera in hand. I am in Sweden, a few minutes walk across the border to Finland. I am visiting and spending time with family in the town my dad grew up before moving to Stockholm at the age of 20. It was -15 degrees, quiet apart from the sounds of the river slowing widening for spring, and the cold air was biting my face.

_

As I watched the sun rise over the Kukkola river, with Finland across the water and ice, it was all absolutely worth it. How I miss the Norrland winters and the nature people here live their lives around. Even social interactions are different, a comfortable security with neighbours and friends dropping in for a coffee at any time of day. I will try to bring back home some of this peace.

I decided to bring some sunshine into our lives with this ✨just blogged ✨ Provence wedding. There’s something extraordinarily beautiful when a couple choose to only bring two handfuls of their best people to the land of food and wine. Looking out over lush vineyards, the heritage town of Seguret clings to the cliffside and absolutely set the scene for C + N’s wedding.

_
The courtyard of their ceremony venue, a farmyard with scattered stone buildings, looked like out of a film set. It was impossibly picturesque and oh-so-French, with its tables filled with local wine and cheese. You can imagine I ran around wild with joy to capture it all! It was what dream weddings are made of.

_
We climbed up to the viewpoint where he once proposed to let them watch this magnificent sunset together. If it was at all possible, these two beautiful people have made me fall in love with France even more.

Some photographs from yesterday’s session where I spend half a day teaching photography, light and how to easily get a grip on those often confusing camera settings. We especially got into interior and lifestyle photography as her businesses and passions revolve around those. We had such a fun day, I left feeling like a ray of sunshine and so inspired to teach more! Will perhaps do more of these, everyone should get to learn photography in an easy and uplifting way. Now ‘one-on-one photography session’ isn’t the most inspiring name, so what should I call it?

We exchanged on our new house today and current buzzing around my mind is “oh no we have to leave our home!” As well as incredible excitement over a new adventure and the prospect of loving a place even more.

_
The idea of home is so important to the Swedish people. This is where you host your family and friends, this is where you retreat, this is where you find warmth and light in the dark winter months.

_
Calm the mind or excite the mind? As a creative person I feel like I need to act on inspiration when it falls, but take time to wind down when when I can. In the middle of my busiest season last summer, me and Louis went to stay at - this incredible place in these photographs. It is a one room tower with a viewing deck, built in the middle of the forest, a 45 min hike up the mountain. There is only one tower, so staying there you are totally alone, surrounded by a magnificent view high up in the treetops.

_
This was the perfect place for us to absolutely wind down. I always get a sense of home when I’m spending time in nature. Possibly because of growing up in a country 60% covered in forests. The next year will be about making our new house feel like home and it’s a given that nature will be our inspiration.

I don’t know what it is but never has January felt so close to spring before. The time where morning skies are light, flowers popping out in all their delicateness and inspiration is flowing. Perhaps it is because I’ve started to properly plan for this seasons weddings and shoots, perhaps it’s because of all the inspiring people I’ve met up with in the last few weeks. Do you also feel like this is the time to start planning exciting projects?

_
I’ve come out a long meeting (over Bellinis and pasta) with branding expert Fiona where we’ve been planning and scheming a WORKSHOP we’ll tell you more about very very soon. I’m excited and nervous but can’t wait to roll this out. It’s going to be so perfect for any creative business wanting to use captivating storytelling to bring their brand to life through photography. And we have so much to share! It’s going to take place April 23 in London, when spring is in full force and we can all get creative together. I so can’t wait for spring!

She quietly, somewhat nervously, but with a constant smile on her face, got ready in the suite of as the London winter sun was shining outside. He brought her a croissant and coffee but stayed at the door, so they wouldn’t see each other.

It was the epitome of a romantic London wedding, so private, so all about the two of them and what they share. I am always deeply honoured to be part of such intimate celebrations, especially when the people are so absolutely lovely. Thank you H + M for inviting me to share your wedding day and congratulations again to your new life together.

A couple of weeks ago I popped over to Germany (for the first time ever I might add!) to photograph Tina and Simon, the designers behind the brilliant , and their collection of beautiful stationery.

Currently with a base in Switzerland, they provide teachers with fun and practical planning tools, but this is not all. They know community and support is everything so hosting events and connecting teachers across borders. They are incredibly inspiring and the day in the studio flew by!

Their passion makes me wonder what I can do myself to give back. Isn’t it amazing how spending time with some people can just jolt you into a state of creativity?

Thank you for this time and can’t wait for the big launch this Sunday!
