A slightly damp start to the 2026 Defender Burghley Horse Trials, but we are officially underway! I think Jaeger was quite enjoying the crowds 🤣Alex does his dressage tomorrow, time tbc. Looking forward to an epic weekend at my first ever Burghley.

Well now… what is this wet stuff?!

It really did come down this afternoon at Dorset Showground! Had to dig the waterproofs out of storage for this one… I’d almost forgotten where I’d put them! 🤣

A lovely first day photographing the action, with another two days still to go. Looking at the forecast, I have a feeling we might be getting rather damp over the next couple of days too… waterproofs at the ready! 🤣🌧️

Our second event of the weekend… the Mid-Somerset Show!

This was our 4th year covering this brilliant show, photographing all of the EQUINE RINGS and the MAIN RING – and once again, we had such a lovely day yesterday!

The addition of the donkeys to our rings over the last couple of years has definitely become a highlight. They never fail to bring plenty of smiles, including from our photographers!

My amazing team worked incredibly hard throughout the day to make sure we captured as many of you as possible across the equine rings. A massive thank you to every one of them for working so hard, particularly in that heat! 🥵📸

A huge thank you as well to all of the stewards, judges, volunteers and members of the Show team who helped us throughout the day and made our job that little bit easier.

And finally, a big thank you to Bella and everyone at the Mid-Somerset Agricultural Society for putting on another fantastic show, especially considering everything they have had to contend with in the lead-up to this year's event.

Another brilliant Mid-Somerset Show, as always. We already can't wait to be back!

It was a busy weekend at Fuchsia Media. First up, on Saturday, I ventured up to Stoneleigh to the Kennel Club Building for the Midlands and Northern Rhodesian Ridgeback Championship & Open Show. Just the most lovely committee, exhibitors and dogs all round! A huge thank you to Kate and Helen for inviting me along. Looking forward to the next one already :)

🚫 OUT OF OFFICE UNTIL THURSDAY 6TH AUGUST 🚫

Well... what a month July turned out to be!! 😅

In the space of just four weeks we somehow squeezed in:
📸 A commercial shoot for GS Equestrian (Gloucestershire)
📸 Area 14 Showjumping Qualifiers (Dorset)
📸 Two days at the Area 13 Dressage & Showjumping Qualifiers (West Sussex)
📸 A videography day at a doggy day care (Worcestershire)
📷 The Thame & Oxfordshire Premier Open Show – covering all 18 rings! (Buckinghamshire)
📸 Three days of British Showjumping (Dorset)
📸 Two sponsored rider shoots (Wiltshire & Northamptonshire)

As if that wasn't enough, life threw in a few extra curveballs. My Dad was admitted to hospital, so I spent much of the month travelling between Dorset and Surrey, where my husband is still recovering from his neck fracture and isn't yet able to drive.

Between all those motorway miles, I somehow kept galleries uploading, processed orders, answered emails, edited thousands of photos and looked after my almost three-year-old (with a huge amount of help from my amazing mother-in-law, who moved in for three weeks to keep us all afloat). ❤️ I also completely lost track of what day of the week it was! 😂

The good news is that all current orders have now been processed, and it's finally time for a proper break. I'll be back on Thursday 6th August. I'll also be taking another week off from 19th-26th August.

If you place an order or send an email while I'm away, I'll get back to you as soon as I return. My mission is simple: stay away from my laptop. Wish me luck... I have a feeling it'll come looking for me! 😂

Thank you all so much for your incredible support, patience and kindness over what has been an exceptionally busy and challenging month. It really does mean the world.

Right... I'm off to catch up with some of my best friends, enjoy the sunshine and become one with the swimming pool! ☀️🏊‍♀️

📸 Thame & Oxfordshire County Premier Open Show 2026 📸

What a fantastic day we had on Wednesday at the Thame & Oxfordshire County Premier Open Show! It was a pleasure photographing so many gorgeous dogs and meeting so many of you.

A huge thank you for your patience while we sorted thousands of photos. The last 48 hours have been a little chaotic, but we're delighted to say the final ring folders are now uploading, so the gallery is almost complete! One uploaded, the photos will be available to purchase for the next 6 months.

A big thank you to the wonderful show committee for inviting us back for a second year and making us feel so welcome. We also couldn't have done it without our incredible team of photographers, who worked tirelessly across 18 rings all day.

Finally, thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello and supported Fuchsia Media. We hope you love your photos, and we can't wait to see you all again soon! 🐾💜
