Hi, I’m Claire 👋🏼

I’m a family girl at heart and the proud owner of a growing documentary photography and natural school portraits business, based in the North East of England 🤍

My work is all about capturing real connection — the belly laughs, the quiet cuddles, the chaos, the tenderness — the honest, beautiful everyday moments that make your family yours. No stiff poses. No forced smiles. Just storytelling photographs that will mean more with every passing year.

Building this business has been one of the bravest and best things I’ve ever done. From mum with a camera to running a photography business I truly love — I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, and even more excited about where this road will take me next.

If you’re looking for relaxed, documentary family photography or natural school portraits with .portraits in the North East, I’d love to work with you.

Let’s tell your story 🤍

Half term is over….always a bit sad as I love spending time with the kids and so aware that with every half term that ends is one less to be spent with them all together. We went away for a couple of days in Manchester. Highlights were definitely Balloon Planet. And we loved and for the most delusions French toast. Once home, we had a trip to which has a mega new slide - totally awesome (but a bit scary). What did you get up to? Appreciate for most you were already back to normal!!

One day, this won’t be your everyday.

The shoes kicked off in the hallway.
Messy hair after school.
The way they still reach for your hand without thinking.

It feels ordinary now — but this loud, chaotic, beautiful season is the one you’ll ache for later.

Spring has a way of slowing us down. The lighter evenings. The fresh air. The blossom starting to appear across the North East. It’s a gentle reminder that seasons change — in nature and in family life.

And mums… you deserve to be in the frame.

Not just the organiser.
Not just the one behind the camera.
But right there — where your children see home, comfort and safety.

My Unscripted Family Sessions are about capturing your beautiful everyday.
No stiff poses.
No forced smiles.
Just real connection, tiny details and the in-between moments that actually matter.

If you’re in the North East of England and you’ve been thinking, “I really must book something this year” … this is your sign.

Spring sessions are now open.

Because one day, these will be the photographs that mean everything.

This is awful but I’ve been told something is better than nothing … so I’m putting this big pile of p**p video out there. Because at least I know the next one will be better!!! Made so many lush videos for clients but never made a video of myself with a phone. Cameras are so much easier and I find it really hard to edit on my phone. This has taken me hours! Honestly! Anyways. It’s a bit of fun and stay til the end for some Instagram gold (you’ve been framed style!) whoops!

What should I wear for my Mother’s Day mini session?!?
Honestly… for your at-home shoot? Whatever feels like you.
Bare feet. Cosy knits. Leggings. That old band tee you secretly love. The baby sick on your shoulder that no one warned you about. This isn’t Vogue. It’s your life — and this season deserves to be remembered exactly as it is. You do you. That’s where the magic lives ✨
For park sessions, it’s worth having a tiny think about the surroundings. Soft, earthy, neutral tones always photograph beautifully against greens and skies. Nothing too restrictive (you’ll want to move, cuddle, scoop up little ones). I’d gently steer away from super bright colours — bold reds can steal the show — and maybe skip big logos… unless you fancy looking like a walking billboard instead of a gorgeous family unit.
The goal? Timeless. Relaxed. Effortless. You — just elevated a touch by nature.
There are still a few slots left and sessions start from just £75 — which makes them a pretty dreamy gift for mums, grandmas, and the women who hold it all together.
This chapter won’t last forever. Let’s capture it while it’s beautifully, chaotically, perfectly yours 💛

“I nearly didn’t book… but I’m so glad I did.”
That’s the message I get. Every. Single. Time.
I hear this all the time.
Because you feel tired.
Because you want to lose half a stone first.
Because the kids are feral.
Because life is busy.
Because it feels indulgent.
And then you see the photos.
You see the way they look at you.
The way your hand automatically finds theirs.
The way you hold them without even thinking.
And suddenly it’s not indulgent. It’s everything.
If you’re usually the one behind the camera, this is your little nudge 🤍

For Mother’s Day, you can choose from two beautiful options:
✨ AT HOME — Friday 27th March — £95
30-minute introduction to Documentary Sessions.
Whatever makes you you. No posing. No stress. Just real life.
(Sessions must be within 20–30 minutes of Ryton, NE40 3.)
🌿 AT THE PARK — Sunday 29th March — £75
Ryton Park.
20-minute relaxed lifestyle session.
Space for cuddles, movement, and those in-between moments.
Both include your session and a private online gallery, with three digital images included and the option to upgrade.
If you’re thinking, “I nearly won’t book…”
Book it.

There’s been a few new faces around here lately… so I thought I’d actually introduce myself properly.
I’m the one usually hiding behind the camera. Mum. Story-noticer. Professional capturer of other people’s beautiful, ordinary moments.
I photograph families in all their noisy, chaotic, heart-melting glory. And I work with businesses and schools who want their story told honestly — not stiff, not staged.
I’m drawn to the in-between stuff. The belly laughs. The scrunched noses. The quiet pride. The bits that feel small at the time but end up meaning everything.
If you’re new here, I’m really glad you landed in this little corner of the internet.
And if you’ve been around for a while — cheering me on, booking me, trusting me — thank you. Truly. 🤍

Better late than never with my what I loved last week post! Another cracking shoot! Totally out there and wacky! Working with Weardale Together to capture their Winter Wassail event. On top of that my son and dad enjoyed go karting (I of course went too) and Harry beat his grandad for the first time! I was so chuffed for him! Those lessons are paying off! Thanks . And we also enjoyed one of our favourite curry’s from .
