On Monday 14th September we have a lecture titled "Derbyshire in Black and White" presented by Ian Daisley. meeting starts 7:45pm Non members welcome .

Also a reminder to members about the first competition of the 2026/2027 season, an "Open PDI" Projected Digital Images shall be up to 1600 pixels wide by 1200 pixels high.
(“Portrait” format images must NOT exceed 1200 pixels high) and
In JPEG format.
Will members bring their entries on Monday for the competition secretary , alternatively, you can e-mail them. The deadline for entries will be Thursday 17th September. Entry forms are available on the website

Some of our members had an amazing time last Saturday (8th August) helping out at Elite Taekwondo Stoke! The club recently had an incredible Olympic-style mat donated to them. To celebrate, they hosted a fantastic mini-demonstration day Some of our members were invited along to capture all the action! We set up a special photography area for the medal presentations to help the students show off their hard-earned wins.
The day was made even more unforgettable with a visit from superstar Paralympic Gold Medalist Amy Truesdale MBE. She was a massive inspiration to the students, watching them practice their fights and board breaking before posing for photos.
Huge congrats to everyone at ETA Stoke!

Our final competition of the season was held on Monday 20th April 2026 which was the “PDI Of The Year” Competition. Derek Danks was our judge for the evening, facing the formidable task of evaluating nearly 80 high-quality entries across the Intermediate and Advanced sections. Derek began with the Intermediate category, providing thoughtful critiques and holding back several standout pieces for final awards. He named Mick Perry with his Image “Red Brown Squirrel“ as Intermediate group “PDI of the Year
In the second half, Derek turned his attention to the advanced entries. After another round of insightful feedback and careful deliberation, he named David Bourne with his image "Jessica” as the “DPI Image of the Year”. Derek noted the difficulty of choosing winners from such a strong field and expressed how much he truly enjoyed viewing the images on display.
