Alsager Camera Club

Alsager Camera Club We are a warm and friendly Camera Club catering for all abilities and experience levels.

Whether you are completely new to photography or are more experienced and want the opportunity to improve and share your work with others, you will be most welcome. About the club

We meet every Thursday at 7.30 from September to May (Summer break June, July and August)

We welcome everyone with an interest in photography – both beginners and experienced photographers. There is plenty to learn and

members are always ready to help each other to improve. We are particularly proud of how we cater for members who are new to photography. We run many evenings to help improve basic camera and photoshop skills, for both our new and more experienced members. Our aim is to provide worthwhile and stimulating photography events for all our members in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and to provide the opportunity for the individual to improve their standard and enjoyment of photography by:

* Making available member’s work for comparison

* Sharing of knowledge and experience

* Providing talks on subjects of interest by experts and/or enthusiasts. Benefits of joining the club

* Making friends in your locality

* Developing your skills and at the same time having fun

* Sharing your hobby with like-minded people. Our members enjoy a varied programme of activities during the season, designed to suit the interests of all members with differing levels of skills and experience. These include competitions (which are a great way to see other people’s ideas,) talks by professionals, practical demonstrations and tutorials, field trips and reviews of work by photographic societies. You will find full details of our activities by clicking on the calendar tab (above). We meet on Thursday evenings starting at 7.30pm (unless otherwise stated in the programme) Just come along and introduce yourself.

4.6.26 Second field trip to Macclesfield

6,30pm at Fairview Car Park Alsager or 7pm Duke Street Car Park Macclesfield.

Please let Geoff know if you are planning to attend. Also if you are prepared to drive so we reduce the number of cars.

We will meet around 9pm in Wetherspoons after the walk around the Town.

Around the Church and the 108 steps it probably the strongest area for Photo’s but various areas of interest are scattered around.

28.5.26 First Field Trip

I am very pleased to be able to confirm arrangements for the first of our summer field trips on 28th May.

We will be going to Hanley Marina and the Etruria canal area. Its an interesting area and the Etruria Canals Festival is on Sat 30 May and Sunday 31 May so there may well be extra boats and people around in preparation.

I have arranged with the Toby Carvery at Hanley Marina that we can park in their car park (subject to logging our registration numbers at reception) and I have booked a space in the bar area for drinks afterwards. It shuts at 10:00 so we should probably make an early start and I suggest we leave Alsager Car Park at 6.45 sharp. We will co-ordinate drivers to make sure we don’t take more cars than is necessary.

If anyone needs to go straight there the address for Toby Carvery is

National Festival Park, Marina Way, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 5PA.

I would anticipate that we will arrive there at around 7.15.
