"We booked in with Dave and Moira for a newborn photography shoot, with some photos with our eldest and some family shots. From the first interaction over messages we found Dave to be incredibly friendly and accommodating, we felt the price was fantastic with no hidden costs like some photographers and loved that all shots were included in the price rather than having X amount of shots and paying extra after we’d already paid for more copies. During the shoot from the moment we walked in we felt like we were amongst friends. Dave and Moira were so friendly and easy to get along with. Moira is fantastic with the babies, keeping our newborn daughter calm and comfortable throughout the shoot, whilst keeping us involved and letting us know their ideas for the next set of photos. You could tell Dave and Moira do this job for the love of it and wouldn’t settle for less than perfect. Nothing felt like too much trouble and they made a fuss of our son at the end and got some lovely photos of him which he loved. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody looking for some absolutely beautiful family photos!"

I’m Dave, a photographer based in Stoke-on-Trent, and I’ve been behind the camera for more than 40 years capturing images for both families and businesses.

It’s Easter weekend, which usually means plenty of moments worth remembering, family time, Easter egg hunts, chocolate-covered faces and everyone being together.

One thing I often notice though… there’s often one person missing from the photos the person behind the lens.

It’s easy to stay behind the camera capturing everything else, but years from now the photos that really matter are the ones where everyone is part of the picture.

So this Easter, make sure you capture the memories and make sure you’re in a few of them too!

It’s April Fool’s Day and, it got me thinking about something I hear quite often when people book a photo session…

Many studios advertise a low sitting fee, but the real surprise comes later when you realise the photos themselves cost extra.

I prefer to keep things much simpler.

For baby, first-year and family portrait sessions in the studio, there’s one price for the sitting and it includes all prints. No complicated packages and no choosing favourites afterwards.

That way nobody feels like a fool, and the focus stays on enjoying the experience and capturing those moments that matter.

A lovely look back at the recent wedding of the new Mr & Mrs Armstrong 💍
Tasha & Darren celebrated their special day surrounded by family and friends at the beautiful Three Horseshoes Country Inn & Spa Three Horseshoes Country Inn & Spa, and it was an absolute pleasure to capture it for them.
From the emotional moments during the ceremony to the laughter and celebrations later in the day, it was clear just how loved these two are. Tasha looked stunning, Darren scrubbed up pretty well too, and together they created a day full of warmth, joy and great memories.

✨ Meet beautiful baby Violet ✨
Just 10 days old and already completely stealing hearts. It was such a pleasure welcoming Violet and her lovely family into the studio for their newborn photoshoot.
From the moment they arrived it felt like we were spending time with friends rather than meeting for the first time. Violet was an absolute dream throughout the session, and it was wonderful capturing some special moments with her proud big brother and the whole family together.
Shoots like this are such a joy for Moira and me – relaxed, full of smiles, and spent with genuinely lovely people. We feel very lucky to be trusted to capture these precious early days that pass by so quickly.
