What makes a wedding day easier to photograph? 📸

Honestly, a lot of it comes down to how comfortable you feel.

You don’t need to know how to pose, where to look, or what to do every time the camera comes out. Most couples don’t, and that’s completely normal.

The best photos usually happen when you’re relaxed enough to enjoy the day properly. When you’re laughing together, chatting with your guests, having a breather, or just being yourselves without overthinking it.

That’s why choosing a photographer you feel comfortable around makes such a big difference.

Because when you’re not worrying about the camera, the photos feel more natural. They feel less staged, less awkward, and much more like you.

A day full of love, laughter and unique personal touches at Bishops Palace.

Many congratulations to Charlotte and Jack who celebrated their big day in the heart of Wells yesterday. From toe socks to a 4 piece pink dress, the whole day had plenty of quirky bits. Charlotte had organised the day so well, it was honestly so relaxing (new career perhaps?)… Even getting last minute access to the gorgeous palace gardens felt like it was planned (albeit very lucky).

Everyone was so helpful and friendly, Lee and I both had a lovely day and kept well fed and watered. We wish you both the very best and can’t wait to share all.

MY WIFE!

Massive congratulations to Hannah & Ben on their lovely wedding at Goffin Land. The weather might not have been ideal, but you wouldn’t have guessed by everyone’s spirits! The hydration was on point, band brilliant, decor and cowboy theme awesome.

Lots of laughter, tears and joy was had all day and I can only imagine the party going one way once I left.

AMY + MATT

What a day for the lovely newlyweds at Orchardleigh Estate. It was so great to see so many familiar faces and to get more than 1 photo of the couple compared to Matt’s sisters wedding 😂

It was a day full of love and laughter, private vows and heartfelt speeches. Rain, or shine, it was so great to leave in the evening knowing how good of a party was to come, which Ben from Prescott Entertainment confirmed.

How do you know if I’m the right wedding photographer for you? 📸

Honestly, it comes down to what you want your wedding day to feel like.

If you want loads of stiff posing, endless photo lists, and someone taking over the whole day… I’m probably not your guy 😂

But if you want natural wedding photos, relaxed portraits, real moments, and someone who can guide things without making it feel like a full-on photoshoot, then we’re probably on the same page 🤍

The couples I tend to work best with usually want:

Not overly staged, not forced, just honest moments from the day.

Still a bit mad to think how far this has come.

When I photographed my first paid wedding, I don’t think I fully realised how much this would become my thing.

Since then, I’ve photographed so many amazing days, met so many brilliant couples, and somehow built a job I genuinely love doing.

Cheesy maybe, but true.

Finally…

Congratulations to Louise + Jon on their very relaxed and fun wedding at Wick Farm. Right from when myself and Lee arrived we knew the plan had been very well organised and that carried on all day.

From the vintage car, to having Polo the dog at the venue, there were so many personal bits that made the day so special.
