St. Mary's Church, Painswick, Gloucestershire. The church was originally started in 1377 but has undergone enlargements, modernisations and revamps over the years. The spire has been hit by lightening, and the tower (by the clock) damaged by cannon balls in the Civil War! The churchyard is famous for its Lych Gate and also the 99 (now 100) Yew Trees. The altar tombs are hisotrically important for their design and quality of work as in the pyramid tomb.

St. Andrew's Church, Leighterton near Tetbury (Glos). Site of 22 World War 1 war graves for 22 Australian Airforce (AFC) pilots who died during WW1 whilst training at nearby Babdown Airfield. Every year on ANZAC Day there is a Dawn Service, usually attended by the prince of Wales who lives nearby.
The Church is small but somewhat beautiful and houses a small memorial and list of all the Australian dead.
(Observed on 25 April each year, Anzac Day was originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served in the Gallipoli Campaign, their first engagement in the First World War (1914–1918).)

St.Mary's Fairford, Gloucestershire was rebuilt in the 1490s by John Tame, a wealthy wool merchant. He kept the original tower. All the glass was installed in the next 20 years or so and remains some of the finest intact stained glass of its age anywhere in Great Britain.
The windows are arranged in order with episodes of Christ's life, the prophests, the Apostles and culminating with the magnifenct east window portraying the Last Judgement.
