Hi everyone,

Just a little update to let everyone know what’s happening with lasting memories - so as most of you know about the project that has been and the project that is coming up next year. I am at the moment in the research stages of the new project. Because it will be site specific so many factors come into consideration, also because we live in England weather has proven to be quite extreme lately. This project will be exposed to all weathers and this will inform the work more so also.
Because of this we have to make sure that the materials used will be hard wearing and fit for the location (or is this part of my project also) you will have to wait and see.

Arts council funding is a very long process and often can be knocked back or changes to consider. Because if this and because I want it to be so personal to it’s environment. I have decided to do this one as a personal project that can solely be from my own ideas and memories but will consider and touch so many people.

I am lucky enough to have the support and funding from Northumberland County Council and also a local independent investor to make this project happen in Northumberland.

I want people to be on this journey with me so I will be updating regularly about current work and imagery helping me along the way.

Thank you fir staying with me and I can’t wait fir this body of work to come to life in the Northumberland Hills.

It's been to long since I wrote in here.

So my Alzheimer's project - I'm working on bringing this back again in different locations along the coast in the North East I will keep you posted in due course about how everything is going and where you will find us!!

I was so worried the project got trashed at Sunderland as a few others did. I was so touched when I came to take the exhibition down that someone had seen one of the portraits came loose and had tied it back together with some weathered string. Who ever this was thank you so so much. It had me in tears.

It has came to my attention that someone has walked along the beach at Roker today and found 5 empty bottles on the sand that she feels are from my project. I want to apologise to anyone who has seen them. My project was due to come down yesterday and when I arrived the waves were that bad the pier was closed. I did walk along the beach to make sure there was no rubbish but didn't see one of my bottles. These bottles have duck tape over the tightly tightened lids holding the memories and glow Sticks in the bottle. I don't feel this would easily come off however I will be there tomorrow to try again and take all the artwork down and never intend on littering the beach. I just wanted to write this to explain. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported it it has been such an overwhelming project for the amount of support it has raised. Thanks again and this won't be the end I will hopefully be moving this project in the summer. Keep a look out on here.
