Hey, I'm Tracey & I love to document moments be it dogs/horses or wildlife. I’m a memory maker 📷 I am both a horse and dog owner.

Professional equine and dog photographer in Derbyshire, UK but covering all the UK. Outside of my family, dogs and horses, photography is my life and I really enjoy capturing moments between a horse/dog and owner. I love to capture dogs doing what they do best, running about in the open. I'm a huge fan of fine art equine photography as it's so different. There is nothing that can compare to creating beautiful imagery of the bond between owner and dog/horse and this is something I specialise in. Bespoke photography where there is no time limit...to get the images that matter!

Some photographs are lovely to look at.

And then there are the photographs you keep.

The ones that take you straight back to a particular time, a particular horse, a particular dog and all the memories that come with them.

That's what I love about photographing animals.

Not just capturing what they look like, but something of **who they are and what they mean to you.**

Autumn gives us some of the most beautiful light and colour for creating those photographs. 🍂

I'm now taking a limited number of horse and dog photography sessions across Derbyshire and the Midlands, including Cannock Chase and North Wales, this autumn.

Beautiful photographs to keep, enjoy and perhaps one day have hanging on your wall.

🍂 Autumn is coming...
There’s something about photographing horses in autumn that I absolutely love.
Golden bracken, changing leaves, softer evening light and those beautiful earthy colours make such a gorgeous backdrop for photographs of you and your horse.

This autumn I'm opening a limited number of horse and rider sessions across Derbyshire and the Midlands, including Cannock Chase and some of my favourite countryside locations.

These aren't just photographs to sit on your phone. My aim is to create beautiful, timeless images that you’ll want to keep and enjoy in your home for years to come.

New lens day! 📷

I’ve just added the Sigma Art 17-40mm f/1.8 to my Fujifilm kit and, naturally, Luca was the first one volunteered for testing. 😂

A very bouncy Lagotto launching himself around the garden seemed like a pretty good way to put it through its paces!

I’ve never used a third-party lens before, so I was curious to see how I’d get on with it. I mainly bought this one for my wedding photography, but I’m really looking forward to seeing how it performs for my dog and equine work too.

So far… I’m loving it! ❤️

Now I just need to find more excuses to use it.

A little teaser from Willow & Harper’s photoshoot 🐾🤎

These two gorgeous Cockerpoos had the best time exploring together, with plenty of sniffing, wandering and generally enjoying being out and about.

I love capturing dogs like this — letting them explore, interact and simply be themselves, rather than expecting them to stand perfectly still for the camera.

There is something truly timeless about side saddle. The detail of the habit, the grace of the rider, the beauty of the horse and the connection between them all tell a story that deserves to be preserved.

I’m creating a special Side Saddle Portrait Project and I’m looking for riders who would love to celebrate their partnership through a collection of elegant, storytelling images.

Some partnerships are built on more than ribbons and rosettes.

They're built on early mornings, unwavering dedication, quiet determination and an unbreakable bond.

Georgia has invested so much of herself into Heaven, supporting him through every step of their journey, while also dedicating her time to helping other horses through training, sales livery and horsey holidays.

It was a privilege to capture a small part of their story. ❤️

Because every horse has a story… and every story deserves to be remembered.

Looking back at one of those beautiful late summer evenings that reminds me exactly why I love photographing horses and their people. ✨🌾

Last August I travelled over to Crewe to photograph the lovely Lottie and her handsome Irish Draught, Basil. Watching these two together was such a privilege. Their partnership is built on complete trust, patience and love, and it shines through in every photograph.

Their dressage journey was going from strength to strength, and it was wonderful to capture this moment in their story.

I also absolutely loved the outfits Lottie chose for the shoot. They complemented the warm summer light perfectly and added such an elegant, timeless feel to the images.

For me, these sessions are about so much more than creating beautiful portraits. They're about preserving the bond you share with your horse such as the quiet moments, the laughter, the cuddles, and the memories you'll look back on for years to come.

Thank you, Lottie, for trusting me to capture your incredible partnership with Basil. I'd absolutely love to work with you both again one day. 💛

✨ A little sneak peek... ✨

It was such a pleasure to welcome returning client Rachel back for another photoshoot, and this time I finally got to meet the handsome Gatsby.

An ex-eventer with the kindest soul (and just a little quirky side!), Gatsby is now enjoying a slower pace of life filled with hacking adventures. It was wonderful to see him so relaxed and happy.

What really stood out throughout the session, though, was the incredible bond these two share. The trust, the friendship and those quiet moments together made this photoshoot so special to capture.
