Thursday& Friday last week I had the pleasure of being asked to go with my supported rider Anthony Clark to his first ever 5* event at Defender Burghley Horse Trials.
It was an amazing experience and a real pleasure and honour to part of his incredible journey .
I met some of his lovely friends and supporters , went to Burghley house cocktail party with all the riders and owners and had a blast all the time I was there .
Anthony has produced Fortune from jumping 80cm to his first five star event in just a couple of years . Huge environment but they did a fab dressage test , completed 22 of the very testing XC course but pulled him up as he was getting tired which was definitely the right thing to do and typically Antony putting the horse first.
This is just the start for this pair … onto Pau next 😊
