Austerity Tank 68067 departs away from Nunckley Hill Station with fellow Austerity 3809/18 in tow as the pair head for Rothley down the branch line on a Saturdays visit to the the Mountsorrel Heritage Centre.

“The Mountsorrel Branch”

A first visit to the Centre this weekend to catch the branch in use as part of GCR Spring Steam Up Weekend.

The service was handled by Austerity’s 3809/18 & 68067 topping and tailing the Suburban Coaches and BR Class 101 DMU, as well as shunting demonstrations being undertaken by the sites resident Ruston Shunter, there was rides being offered on the narrow gauge line.

It’s definitely worth a visit when in the area and can’t wait to return again soon! 👌🏻

With the recent cut vegetation at Kinchley, it has opened up a a little more variation on the shot 👌🏻
