3 SLEEPS 💜⚡️THERE ARE ONLY 3 MORE SLEEPS!!!

THREEEEEE. 😱 Dude… I;m not sure I’m ready…

We have now reached the point in the countdown where walking past the camera bag causes genuine excitement. 😂📸 And genuine nerves because I think I’ve lost a battery….

Only 3 sleeps until Storm & Next Star and we are READY for the costumes, tricks, faces, drama, potentially some slipping over and losing of shoes….and those absolutely glorious split-second moments that make dance photography so bloody good. 🔥💜 Ahhhhhh I just flippin’ LOVE it!!

Meanwhile, I’d like everyone to stop and appreciate today’s number 3. It is a work of art and I failed myself by doing Music GCSE instead of Art…

Could I have asked AI to create a beautifully polished countdown graphic? Yes.

Did I instead hand-draw several wonky purple 3s because apparently I’m an artist now? ALSO YES. 😂🎨 SHOW THE 3 THE APPRECIATION IT DESERVES.

By serious, I mean I’ve started thinking about packing my camera bag and have probably located at least 70% of the equipment required. Basically ready. 😂 I definitely have not finished the schoolwork that needs doing before the weekend though… Can one review an EHCP and take photos, simultaneously?! Asking for a friend…

This weekend we’re heading to Storm Dance & Next Star Dance Competition for a whole lot of dancing, shouting, caffeine consuming and taking an entirely unreasonable number of photographs. 🔥 Honestly… I am always in trouble when it comes to editing time…. I CANNOT HELP YOU ALL BEING TOO GOOD.

And today we unveil another piece from my exclusive countdown art collection: the number 4. Signed copies available on request….

Again, NO AI HERE PEOPLE. 🙅‍♀️🤖 I know… I AM SHOOK. Ahem…..

The countdown to Storm Dance Competition & Next Star Dance Competition is officially ONNNNN 🔥🔥🔥 Ok so… it was already on yesterday but, that’s not the point… countdowns don’t work if you don’t carry them on.. mwahahahaaaa

Cameras charged ✅
Memory cards ready ✅
Snacks… absolutely not organised ❌ (anyone wanna offer to do the shopping!?)
Excitement levels… frankly unnecessary 😂 (they really are… we can’t help it… it’s the ADHD… genuine, not implied!! 😂)

And YES, before anybody asks, that magnificent number 5 was HAND DRAWN. By a human. With talent. Sort of. 🎨😂 .

OH HEEEEEEYYYY NEW SEASON FRIENDS 👀⚡️📸

We’ve had approximately 14 minutes and one power nap to recover from last season… so obviously it’s time to do it ALL AGAIN 😂😂

And we are SO READY. Batteries charged-ish. Memory cards cleared…. Ummmm maybe?! I think they might actually still be filled with horses and afternoon tea shots from yesterday….Cameras poised… Theo and Thomas are so ready for you! Sanity already questionable….. nothing new there…. Standard Voltage behaviour really. 🤪⚡️

This weekend we’re kicking things off with Next Star Dance Competition AND Storm Dance Events and we cannot WAITTTT 🥳🔥

New routines. New costumes. (Equally, zero judgement for wearing the same costume again… dance life is pricey baby…)New faces. Familiar little legends. Familiar non-legends… ya know… the delightful tiny humans who insist on running across the front of the stage and camera lenses mid-performance……

New tricks. Bigger facial expressions - there’d better be!!. And approximately 87,000 photos for us to sort through afterwards because apparently we enjoy making questionable life choices 😂📸 What’s new…

2026/27 season… WE ARE COMING FOR YOUUUU ⚡️💜 Waaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

Pass Wide and Slow is an international campaign for road safety. Rides take place all over the country on the same day and we are pleased to be a part of it.

I ride on our local roads a lot, I also take children out on the roads .
I use this time to teach the children about road safety but unfortunately there are a lot of drivers who do not set good examples! We ask motorists to Slow down and create a safe environment for riders.

Tomorrow's ride will set off from Clough Farm as close to 11am as possible. Hopefully it will be dry enough to park on the field. The cost for each horse and rider combination is £10 and we welcome anyone who would like to join us.
Anyone that is free to walk with us would also be great as there is strength in numbers!

Because sometimes the BEST bits happen before anyone even steps on stage 💜📸

Did you know… If you’re really nice to us (bribery in the form of snacks is always considered 👀😂.. or ya know, take a leaf out of Studio3.danceacademy and Leanne Marie Pole ‘s book and get us an entire goodie box?!? WT?! So lucky 🍀) we’ll even rock up early and capture the studio time, rehearsals, getting ready, last-minute run-throughs, ridiculous faces, nerves, giggles and all that gorgeous behind-the-scenes chaos before a show or performance. 🥰

Because yes, the big stage shots are bloody lovely… obviously… but there’s something a little bit magic about the moments nobody else gets to see ✨And when I get to shout “BE BETTER” at 𝖢𝖺𝗂𝗍𝗅𝗂𝗇 𝖧𝖺𝗂𝗇𝖾𝗌 Studio3.danceacademy dancers in the studio when they’re rehearsing 🤣 it’s rather satisfying 🤣

The calm before the chaos…. Well the chaos in a different location… The friendships. The concentration. The “WHY HAVE I FORGOTTEN THE ENTIRE DANCE?!” five minutes before curtain up. 😂 Rosie bradbury defo shouted something similar to this at some of these girls 😂

We LOVE this stuff. The real bits. The memories between the memories. 🥹💜

So if you’ve got a show coming up and fancy a bit of extra Voltage magic behind the scenes… you know where we are ⚡️📸 🥰
