Happy everyone!
This beauty is a female Strawberry spider (Araneus alsine), nationally scarce in the UK and pretty difficult to spot due to their penchant for building their homes in curled-up dead leaves, check the comments for the full-width image and a better view of it's leafy home 😊🙏.

This here is the Lesser bloody-nosed beetle (Timarcha goettingensis) which looks almost identical to the regular Bloody-nosed beetle (Timarcha tenebricosa) but is actually much smaller (about half the size), which means you're far more likely to get a nice shot of one perched on some grass seed, like this one here 😁
