My baby's already 4 weeks old… have I left it too late?
Short answer: no.
The 5–14 day window gets recommended a lot because newborns tend to sleep deeper and curl up naturally in those early days, which makes the classic curled poses easier to capture. But that's not the only window that makes beautiful images — I photograph newborn sessions right up to 10 weeks old.
Babies change fast, and every session adapts to where your baby is at. Older babies photograph beautifully too — just differently. More alert, more personality, bright eyes, little expressions starting to show. Wrapped portraits work wonderfully at almost any age, and they still give you that timeless, secure, snuggled-in look.

I've photographed some of my favourite sessions well past three weeks old. So if your baby is 4, 5, even 8 weeks — don't count yourself out. Every baby is different, every session is different, and gorgeous photos are still very much on the table right up to 10 weeks.
