A lovely puffin on Lundy Island. In Old Norse, Lund-ey meant 'puffin island' but their numbers were severely reduced at the beginning of this century to 5 puffins! Happily, due to conservation work, numbers have recovered and there are now almost a thousand puffins on Lundy. 🙂

It's seal pupping season! 🦭 Saw this adorable pup yawning on Lundy Island 🙂❤️

Make sure to give seals space - especially pups so mothers can come ashore to feed them (this little one was snapped on a zoom lens while being as quiet as possible!)
