How wonderful of nature to greet us in the depths of winter with this delightful flower.

Last year I became aware of the many different varieties of galnthus nivalis and I can see that you can get totally obsessed with hunting down the different variety.

Let’s hope the rain will seize and we can peruse some snowdrop trails!

The secret sauce to photographs of you that you will like is not the best make-up, perfect lighting or new clothes, but the ability to relax while you have your photograph taken.

The tension you naturally carry at the beginning of the photo shoot can be dispersed by a gentle approach.

When you ask me to take your photo for branding photography or private use, my first priority is always creating a calm atmosphere, building a bond so you can relax.

R E S E T

Whether you call it wintering or hibernation, there are lots of reasons why we can learn from Mother Nature and take it a bit slower I think.

Rest is essential and when you look at this photograph of the skeleton trees beautiful too.

Without a fallow period the highs wouldn’t shine as bright and equally the anticipation of joy in what is to come wouldn’t be there.
